Great product did a great price
This was the best deal I found on Hornady 52 grain BTHP bullets. Very pleased. Fast shipping also.
Excellent bullets
I'm a midrange shooter, I shoot these 600 yards every week. They're great
Great Accuracy
I use these 75 gr. BTHP in my 18" 1-7 AR-15. They are amazing and very accurate (if I do my part). Hitting rock chucks at 400 or 500yards is common.
Good bullet for 223
This is my 4th box of 4K from Brownell's. This bullet is a solid choice for XTC practice or matches where I use this bullet from 100 to 300 yards in competition. The attached is from a match this winter at 100 yards shot prone with a sling out of a 20 inch barrel. X ring on this target is 0.75 inches. Bullet is capable if a smaller group, this is a good result for my current skill set. At 13 to 14 cents a bullet I can shoot more practice as compared to the 24 cent 77's in green boxes.
Best seated with a VLD style stem
Encountered issues with denting ogive using my standard seater stem. Purchased a VLD seater stem for my Wilson die. Worked perfectly. Which it should as the stem is made to fit the bullet profile. In 30 caliber I use a Hornady seater die and purchased there VLD stem. These bullets just are not happy with a standard tapper stem;. I shoot several thousand rounds per year in CMP/NRA Service rifle match and practice. So twenty bucks or so for a stem is nominal. 68 grain is a great bullet for 200 and 300 yard line. I run them over Hodgdon benchmark powder at SAMI max pressure.
Great in my AR's
As a first time AR shooter and experienced reloader, I wanted to find the best bullet for my S&W 15T 16 inch 1-8 twist barrel. After testing several brands and weights, I found this projectile to be very good. Nearly as good as the Sierra 69's at a much lower price. The accuracy at 100 yards is great. They shoot a 1/4 inch group all day long. I built a second AR with a 22 inch 1-8 twist WOA barrel. This bullet worked equally well in both rifles. Spooky to not have to develop a new combo for different rifles.
VERY ACCURATE
USE IN TACTICAL AR WITH 26" BARREL 1 IN 8 TWIST WITH SCOPE 100 YDS 5 SHOTS ..312" GROUP
Outstanding accuracy
I'm using these bullets in a Remington 700 5R with 20" 1:9 twist and these things will reliably produce under 3/4MOA groups. Loading in Lapua brass with CCI BR4 primers and Varget powder. I tested their 68gr match and both the 69gr and 77gr offerings from Sierra (I run the 175SMK in my .308's) using the ladder testing method for accuracy nodes (at 600yd), then proceeded to test for grouping size and velocity consistency. This bullet proved to match the 77gr SMK but at a lower price. Could not be happier; my .223 5R is the most accuracy factory rifle I've ever personally see... and I've been around a lot of M24's and M110's.
