Perfect fit, like original Marlin part.
I purchased this inside magazine tube for a 39A Marlin made prior to 1975. It is the correct length and fits perfectly. The quality and appearance looks original. When buying this part it is VERY important to compare the listed dimensions with your old mag tube. This mag tube fits the standard 39A rifle with the 24" barrel, NOT the 39M, 39D, or 39A Mountie. IMPORTANT: This inner mag tube is correct for PRE-1975 Marlin 39A rifles with the simple bayonet lock, NOT THE POST-1975 INNER MAG TUBE WITH THE "IMPROVED" SPRING-LOADED SLEEVE COVERING THE BAYONET SLOT. So, pay attention to the dimensions, and lock style!
Thanks Very Much!!!!
My Dad gave me a 39A Mountie for Christmas in 1966. I've fired thousands of .22 rounds thru this Great gun over the last 45 years. Somehow the magazine inner tube went missing when we moved 10 years ago(haven't shot it since then). Thanks so much for the quick service and delivery. It fits perfectly after a little miner cut down work. The 39A is about 4" longer than the Mountie. Back in business. Thanks again.
It just works
Perfect replacement.
Close But No Cigar.....................
***With just a little more effort the mag tube could be a spot on replica of a factory 39A Marlin early production mag tube. The knurling and silhouette of the plug are not quite to factory specs. The follower is not blued like the factory follower.
Not Quite in Spec
The OAL of this replacement tube is exactly the same as my original part. However, the brass tube is 1.4 mm longer than the original. Consequently the pin will not rotate into the retaining notch at the end of the outer tube. No big deal - just some filing required on my outer tube to permit correct rotation. But I expected the part to fit my 2011 39A without alteration. Disappointing.
Doesnt fit
The locking pin doesnt fit
Doesnt fit my marlin 39a
Just ordered this but does not fit my marlin 39a original golden
Disappointed in the product
The product was to long for my Marlin 39A. I had to file down almost an 8th of an inch of the black cap to be able to lock it in. Brownells was great through. They offered a full refund and searched for other possible products, but nothing was smaller.
