Came with cage code and all the markings on barrel and m4 mark behind the delta ring. Did seem to be fired but I just assumed it was test fired in facility as it was sealed in the blue plastic rifle bag . Would add pictures but would not allow me

Solid Colt upper less the all the forge markings. M4 feed ramps are very good and anodizing is good (no purple per some else comments here). Installed an old KAC RAS2/CompM2/boresighted and she ready go.

Great replacement for AR- A2 style

I replaced my A2 upper with this colt m4 , great replacement nice tight clearance. Now my old colt has a new life. Make sure you replace the pivot pin with the new offset pin. Cant wait to try it out on range.

Fantastic upper. Brownwell is the place

Buy while you can and affordable. These are getting harder to find. Shoots fine no issues first 300 rds. No hiccups at all. The finish is very nice and smooth. The fit is very nice. 20+ years from you'll look back and kick yourself, why didn't I pick u a few. Brownwell is always professional. No issues shipping in a week. They put the Colt box inside a bigger box so when u open it, the Colt box is near perfection.

Awesome upper assy.

This upper is being used for 3 gun , compact and precise all the way out to 200 yards. All milspec and very solid platform , its very well put together the right way . No flaws. Cant find anything negative to mention , all forging marks and stamping are there and if something is missing it doesnt hinder its performance.

Still Colt quality

Never mind the naysayers who are saying that Colt doesnt make a quality product, I have owned several Colt ARs over the years since my first A2 bought new in 1983 and this upper still has a high quality level of assembly and fit and finish. This upper has all the correct markings and seems to be every bit as nice as my A2 and my SP1 and my LE6920. It shoots great too. The slightly shorter barrel makes a difference when wearing body armor during house clearing drills. I am not necessarily a Colt fanboy but I would recommend this upper to anyone. Mine is outfitted with a BCM bcg and charging handle and it functions flawlessly. Say what you want but the rampant colt will always hold its value to the potential buyers.
