Colt m4 upper
Very close to what Colt did before 2021. I miss Colt in house parts but, the fit and finish looks good and is good in fit.
No Cage code on receiver
The receiver had no cage code only a keyhole symbol. I was disappointed no receiver cage code was on it. The bolt has a faint “C” and the barrel is cage coded 13639 MP. Called Brownells and they coil guarantee a cage coded upper receiver. I’m going to use this thing so I’m not up in arms over the cage code but gave 4 stars because I think it should have a marked 13629 receiver. Love Brownells otherwise fast shipping and good customer service.

okay, have received next two colt uppers and no issues with assembly compared to first one; gas tubes are correctly aligned. still, no colt cage code nor M4 stamp on receiver but dry film lube is there. yes, contact wear shows signs of factory test firing and that's good. R stamping code found near barrel's index pin show these too source from Rosco, a well known quality barrel manufacturer. Head space with new Microbest bcg was Spot On!

Nice upper some assembly marks scuffs and small scratch typical COLT . Mill spec GOV. profile barrel No F mark on front sight . Dual heat shields in hand guard . Dry lube great for a pistol build .
Good value
Ordered this to use on my Aero lower build. It fit like a glove and functioned fine with a Fail Zero BCG. Upper had Colt cage code and square forge code stamped on upper and chome lined barrel instead of C and keyhole forge mark. FSB was B1 marked. Compared to my older 6920, other than the markings, it appears the same. Great value for the money. Item came in plastic bag inside a card board box. It arrived safe but could have been better packed.

Finally received it, FedEx always has delivery exceptions with me. The receiver is marked M4 in the front and still has the slight purple color, may change when oiled. The only part that was oiled was the flash hider. Inside of the receiver is gray colored, not sure if it is a coating or did not get the black anodizing. Has the whitened T marks on upper. No F mark on the front sight and there is a yellow dot on the barrel under the front sight tower. Barrel has the usual Colt markings and little imperfections that come with a Colt. Looking at the feed ramps there are Dremel/grind marks on the barrel extension. The upper does not appear to be test fired as there are no marks inside the receiver from a BCG or charging handle. It shipped inside of 2 blue colored plastic bags, not fancy Colt upper box. Person doing the packing did a great job. Price I received and with a Colt BCG and charging handle I have coming beats any other pricing for Colt that I have found.

These are not like in the picture, has Magpul rear sight. I am happy with it overall.
