Quality slipping
Upper receiver are not C marked nor does it have any cage code. T marks look like someone took white-out by hand. Overall quality is fair at best.
Function Check Your Upper!
Bought this upper, had short headspace when used with a known quality BCM bolt carrier group. Contacted Colt directly, they ended up informing me that they only cover serialized items, i.e. complete firearms. Uppers and the like would have to be covered by the retailer where such a part was obtained. Just a heads up for any buyers of these products. Mirroring some other reviews for these uppers, Colt really seems to have slipped from their older days where they had a much better reputation for quality control. All in all, for the price you pay its really quite unfortunate that uppers can slip through the cracks with issues for a name brand that touts itself for "legendary reliability". In today's market where Colt sits in the same price bracket as a plethora of other reputable manufacturers that not only are competitively priced, but also offer a much better suite of customer support and warranty coverage after purchase, I'd highly recommend you weigh your options first.
Not the same... Buyer Beware!
well, the first of two Colt 11.5" uppers arrived this morning and I'm disappointed. Cons... No Colt cage code on receiver. NONE! WTH? No M4 stamping on receiver over the gas tube. WTH? gas tube was slightly off center from barrel indexing... WTH??? Pros... White T marks were good. A2 flash hider correctly indexed Cerro Forge keyhole symbol in proper location Colt Cage Code, 1/7 NATO and magnetic particle stamps are on the barrel and visible underneath top handguard. The M4 barrel extension cuts were clean and well blended to the 54 degree TDP angle. Headspace checked out perfect on 556 gauge. Dry Film Lube was applied inside the receiver as per TDP. But.... Butt..... No Cage Code on the receiver, Colt? sloppy work on final barrel indexing work, Colt? another 11.5" is due tomorrow, let us hope this is NOT going to become the Colt norm with their costly union labor as monkeys work for peanuts and bananas. smh.
CR6920, not LE6920
Seems solid, fit and finish seem fine, goes bang on my 6920 lower, but all roll marks and cage codes, in combination with the "R" marking on the barrel under the hand guard are all different than my LE6920 I own.
Not that great .looks like a blem upper
I own several Colts A2 match target several 6920 LEO marked restricted models the only thing about this i like is the price . And yes i know the saying Colt makes war horses not show dogs but The finish looks bad and the inside of the receiver looks unfinished a very light coating . The hand guards are double heat sheids . it is marked 13629 that's ok but over all let down the description should say blem or second this upper looks like a blemished upper in appearance it came in a blue plastic bag that was opened , packed very well in a box . The bag had been opened i am not a happy camper . i will contact customer service and ask if this is how it comes in an opened plastic bag . I may return this let down . has assembly marks .
