Typical Knights quality
The carrier is extremely high quality and has a sealed gas key which is a step above some other high end manufacturers. However if this is your first purchase of any KAC product be aware that cosmetic blemishes are common no matter where sourced from, purchasing KAC products just seems to be a hit or miss as far as aesthetics are concerned. (Brownells) is not to blame and I do not blame them for this. So if aesthetics are very important to you, then this product may not be for you. The carrier came with a minor scratch and a dimple (refer to the attached picture) by the gas exhaust ports which appears to be from hardness testing Im not 100% sure about that though. given the price, its minor and has no effect on function but I still prefer to scratch or ding my products myself rather then have them come that way.Otherwise the Carrier is very nice and I would highly recommend it as an upgrade for any AR-15 that the owner wants something a little different for or to make your existing SR-15 unique.
