BCG
I received this BCG today so i have not used it yet. The finish and function is good. The only complaint i have is the staking of the gas key. The staking isnt very good at all. The bolts that hold the gas key may work themselves loose over time. The machine marks are a little rough also. I can file my finger nails on it if i wanted.I bought this as a spare because of the price was right and brownells is a quality company in my opinion, but i need to stake the gas key bolts better before i use this BCG. Thats something i shouldnt have to do but it is what it is. Ive tried to add a pic but it keeps saying that the file is to large
Sub par
This finish on BCG is very nice, high quality. Some tooling marks in places that won't effect function. Burrs are present on all staked screws and had to be carefully filed away. Probably wouldn't have effected function but could cut fingers or hand. Staking is not the best and I'll probably wind up reinstalling it and re-staking at some point. I don't think this item is made in China but not certain. I avoid Chinese products at all cost escpecially on a firearm.
Gas Key staking is lacking
For the price, this appears to be a decent BCG. The nitride finish is very slick and I can tell it's going to be easy to clean. Having said that, the gas key staking is sub par. QC should have caught this and never light it slide. The material doesn't even touch the screws. Disappointing to say the least.
