Good Enough for the Sale Price
Purchased the no serration version for an early AR clone, bolt appears to be hard chromed. Not as dull as the pictures make it appear, but not shiny chrome. Finish is 80%, inconsistent application on the locking lugs and gas key, and light scuffs throughout. I would send it back if I had paid full price, but on sale, this is the cheapest no serration option available. The one I received in April 2023, was an M16 style bolt with a shrouded firing pin, and the cam pin, extractor and bolt head are also hard chromed. Arrived bone dry in nice retro marked packaging. Bolt marked MP. Like the other reviewers mentioned the retaining pin is very stiff. The bolt fits in the carrier nicely, but the gas rings are loose on the bolt, so while the bolt to carrier fit is good, the bolt has a little side to side play. I am not sure if that will affect function. Overall, I think it's fine and for $100 on sale it's a good deal for a retro part.
Nice looking BCG
Package was opened and there were marks on the firing pin retainer. The pin it would not fit flush into the Carrier. Overall it looks good but it wouldn't function without a new part or modification. I never tried it in my upper receiver so I returned the item.
