BCM® (MPI) complete bolt carrier group is fully assembled. (BCG) Bolt carrier group (auto version) for your AR15, M16, or M4. Parkerized exterior and chrome lined inside carrier. Machined to USGI specifications. This M16/M4 carrier includes the proper Mil-Spec gas key. Gas key is chrome lined and heat treated per GI specifications. Gas key is secured to carrier via USGI domestic mfg Grade 8 fasteners and properly staked per Mil-Specs. These properly hardened parts insure a strong staking and proper gas system functioning. The bolt assembly is machined from the correct Mil-Spec Carpenter No. 158® steel, shot peened for increased strength, includes tool steel machined extractor and ejector, BCM Extractor Spring, and is HPT (High Pressure Tested) and MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspected). Prior to shipping, all BCM Bolt Carrier Groups are test fired for function. As such, the Bolt Carrier Group will show handling marks consistent with these quality control procedures. The Flat Dark Earth version has the stripped carrier finished with an Ion Bond coating which lowers friction and allows for easier cleaning.

Good looking BCG

I've used a few BCM BCGs for many thousands of rounds in the past with no issues. I got this BCG to save as a backup. It looks to be of the same quality as my other ones, but I can't say for sure since I haven't used it. I will complain a little about Brownell's packaging. The BCG itself came in a sealed plastic pouch and Brownells shipped it in a plastic bubble wrap mailer. It would have been nice if they had shipped it in a small box instead or at least wrapped it up in more padding since I think the carrier key seems a little vulnerable and sticks out that it could be damaged if the BCG were dropped and it landed on the key. I know it's unlikely, but a little better shipping protection would have been appreciated.

GUCCI BCG

Im giving it 4 stars due to the fact Ive only ran about 1500 rounds with it. Its a BCM product so not much to say about quality. No tooling marks HPI, MPT tested etc. As for the DLC coating, easy to clean, and looks very nice cant imagine the coating wont start to wear after a few thousand rounds. However we all know rifles that look better - shoot better right??? Just came shipped in a plastic bag so dont expect any BCM swag. I waited for Brownells sale when it was in stock (10% off $99 free s&h) to offset cost a bit. I d definitely recommend. .
