Best BCG
When Daniel Defense says the gas key is properly staked, they do mean PROPER. Also, when using this BCG with a Law Tactical folder, the carrier extension fits snug and securely; unlike other brands Ive found where the extension is loose, and hence unreliable. The Daniel Defense BCG is worth the money over other brands, and this is a component you shouldnt skimp on.

Still the BEST BCG for me
My quest for the 'best' BCG has taken me from various boutique brands to top notch OEM's and various finishes from phosphate, nitride, NiBr, chrome and even ion bonded. I have not found any exotic 'finish' providing enough benefit to justify the additional cost over the phosphate coating. Although DD's phosphate coating is slightly more difficult to clean; that porous finish does a better job at trapping lubricants, and holding it where it is most needed much better than self lubricating treatments such as NiBr, ion bonded etc. I am currently 16K and counting.

Great BCG, good staking etc
Daniel Defense make such great products. Unlike many companies who rebrand, Daniel Defense actually makes their own bolt and carrier groups in-house and the quality, fit and finish does not disappoint! The staking is some of the best I've ever seen, no chances of the gas key coming loose on this one. Overall the quality is great, I've been running these hard the past few years and have not have one unit fail yet.

Mrezo Yukon, Response
I've used Daniel Defense Bolts in AR's before and never had any issues with them. They are my go to parts over other cheaper manufacturers. Mrezo- Yukon, OK described several problems with his chamber using gauges... failure to chamber. Here is the deal- 1 there is a Mil-Spec size for the bolts machined and 2- a barrel can be out of spec in the chamber area when the barrel is not aligned properly- barrel extension and pinned in place. It can happen and a few thousandth's is all it takes to be out of spec. So before others blame the bolt, it can be a cheap out of tolerance barrel extension's fault- too tight a chamber or excess space in a chamber. The bolt is not always to blame. Use Quality parts in your AR builds.

A Great Bolt For Your Custom Build
This BCG was a pleasure from the start to use. I was in the process of building a custom AR-15. I needed to select a high quality BCG to go with my Daniel Defense Barrel. I decided to match them up and use the Daniel Defense BCG as well. Headspace was perfect and bolt dropped right in as expected. Bolt is nice and beefy and the gas key is staked VERY well....as compared to some BCG's I have owned. Another thing a lot of people overlook is how easy the bolt assembles and disassembles. This is the easiest bolt I have on all of my rifle to clean. Everything is nice and snug, but not too tight to where it's a pain to disassemble. Bolt wore in fairly quickly and now eveything has finally fallen into place. I have well over 1k rounds through this bolt and have had ZERO issue with anything. Extraction is pefect and literally slings the rounds way away from the shooter's position. I have cleaned the bolt several times and carbnon build up is about avaerage with other similar quality bolts. If you are planning on a custom build or need spare or replacement BCG's, let me suggest this one. This bolt is the quality I have come to expect from Daniel Defense. I highly recommend and would suggest it to my close friends and family. Buy and you will not be disappointed.

Best for the money!
If you are taking all that time and money in building an AR or replacing existing bolt carrier it does not get any better! If you are replacing an existing bolt carrier you may notice this one is beefier. My headspace was perfect! My upper and barrel was Daniel Defense as well. I would recommend this to anyone! Great quality at a great price.

OUTSTANDING BOLT
I've purchased many of these bolts to use in rebuilds and to use as spares. Perfect as they are but I also get mine NP3'ed for a built in lubricant as well as ease of cleaning. Daniel Defense is one of the best in the business when it comes to AR parts and I've been a fan of their for years. They build for the military and as such their parts and guns are all Mil-Spec and beefy. These are the same bolts that go in their M-16's that go off for their military contracts. You can't get much better than that. Outstanding product.

Perfect Part, Perfect Price
Get it! I had a "semi-auto" carrier that went out of spec because the design is too flimsy. "Full-auto" carriers are not illegal for civilians to own! AR Stoner designed the carrier properly given the stresses it is placed under, and the thinner "civilian" design is not built strong enough. My original semi-auto carrier went out of spec after only about 1500 rounds. I dropped this one in and after 150 rounds so far, it has functioned perfectly. Highly recommended.

Awesome
This bolt was put in my daughters rifle, it has never ever been a problem. I have also put it in my Colt and it works flawlessly. This is a great product at a fraction of the cost of a Colt B.C.G., The fact that it is magnetic particle inspected and shot peened goes to testify as to the quality. I have not noticed a single drawback to this unit, buy it, you won't be sorry.

Worked great for me
I put this into my M16A1 to replace another manufacturer's BCG which wouldn't run reliably. Works great, easy to clean, 75% the price of the one it was replacing.
