Provides increased aiming speed with optics mounted in the forward position. Low profile allows co-witnessing of the factory sights with tube-bodied, red dot sights. Recoil lug, plus dual clamps attach quickly to standard weight, G.I. spec barrels without modifications; installs in place of the factory handguard. Fits M-14/M1A with original, standard weight barrel profile, original National Match standard profile and most Chinese M1A clones. Will Not fit Springfield Loaded Standard, Match, Tactical, or other medium or heavy profile barrels.
