For those who wish to make their own bullets and don't mind spending the extra time it takes to do it one bullet at a time, this press kit will do the job just fine. Don't expect to be cranking out bullets by the hundreds/hour using this kit, however, the slowness is greatly offset by its ease of use and setup. Once everything is mounted, a beginner can easily be making bullets within 1 hour. Just watch a few youtube videos on how to adjust the dies and you'll be good to go. Mounting hardware does not come with the press. You will need (2)1/2" bolts, (4) washers, and (2) nuts to properly mount. Of course the bolt length is determined by the thickness of your bench.

Another great product from Hornady! Setup is easy, changing out dies is a breee with the lock n load bushings.Powder measure is easy to adjust. This is an excellent kit for the beginner or the advanced reloaders.

I bought this for my nephew as a Christmas present. I thought about sending him my 42 year old pacific press, but no way I'm cutting that loose. It's a good starter kit, but the scale is really sensitive to fluorescent lighting and other electrical interference. It would be nice it if included a bullet puller, but compared to piecing things together, it represents a good value.

I have always wanted to reload my own ammo but like alot of people, i didn't know where to start. This kit started me out on a path that has led to a new hobby. The products are well made and easy to use. I would recommend to anyone starting out.

Easy to change dies quickly. Very consistent resizing. Handy deprimer pan catches the used primers. Hand primer works great and so does the press primer. Wish it would have had a case trimmer, some brushes to clean inside of cases/primer pockets, and better lube. I prefer the Imperial wax. The scale doesn't hold zero well for long periods and can vary. Still for the money this kit is great for a beginner.

I am new to reloading. Like everyone else, I helped friends do there reloading. So I bought a reloading set and got started. The book with the kit is very informative about the hole thing, even gives a history of where, when, how, and why for each bullet type. I do like the bushing set up. Makes it very simple for switching dies out. Do wish the kit came with the "auto primer" atachment but the hand set seams to be easy enough to use.

I bought this as an initial buy-in to reloading, not knowing any better. The ram linkage bumps against the press body. Every time it does this, it goes just a little bit further, changing the stoke length, every...single...stroke. The length is set off of the ram-shell holder interface, so your case & COAL lengths are dependent on the pressure you put on the ram. Very imprecise. After using several other Lee products Ive come to realize this is par for Lee. Not a problem for all I guess, but it is for me. The only thing I still use is the funnel.

so thanks to covid, having a kid, and everything else it took me a few years from the point that I mounted this to the bench until I had all my components in-hand. finding primers was so hard!!!. By the time I got everything my 2nd run of ammo, the press is rusted solid. it's unusable, and will not move.

The old saying of "Buy once, Cry once" is Certainly the case when getting started into reloading. With a kit you will be getting the bare essentials. You will spend more money in the long run by not buying a quality piece of equipment from the start. You will get things in a kit that you will replace later. I started loading many years before they had kits and strongly recommend you buy what you need. Quality is not cheap and cheap is not quality. Buy the best that you can afford and you will have a lifetime of use from it. Of course if you only want to put together something that just goes BANG, buy the kit and enjoy making noise.
