Fabulous trigger
I love this gun. Can't afford a Python so got a 3"King Cobra. The trigger is buttery smooth. Best trigger in a factory revolver. The rubber grips help a lot w felt recoil.

Range review
After adjusting to a revolver, I found the kc to be very accurate at 7 yards. Trigger is excellent. A bit heavy for concealed carry. But knew that going in. The kc took out the “x” in the target. Have carried other wheel guns but the kc is my new favorite.

Excellent Lightweight Colt
I've owned this King Cobra since 2021 and put a variety of ammo through it - it has been 100% reliable and rock-solid. The trigger is smooth as glass. Highly recommended.
Good so far but could be improved
PROS: Nice Fit & Finish appearance, Amazing Trigger / accurate, Decent grip, Great size and weight, Easy to change front site (fiber option and night site upgrade front site options on Brownells site). You Will be able to shoot this revolver more accurately than most carry revolvers and even more accurately than some target revolvers. Colt seems to have fixed some of the early design flaws with this revolver causing some people to have issues. CONS: While it has gotten better during break-in, the bolt stop was sticking in some bolt notches making it a little difficult to open cylinder at times. (Expected better for a revolver at this price). Down side of design making it a good trigger seems to be that the hammer struggles to strike the firing pin hard enough on ammo with hard primers.... Will failure to fire irregularly with certain ammo at types with hard primers. Three click long reset trigger makes this revolver easier to short stroke than most revolvers when trying to rapid fire..... you must let trigger ALL THE WAY out each time you pull it to fire again. Only has a one year warranty from manufacturer that isnt transferable..... Colt, dont you have faith in your own product?? *Dealing with Brownells is great!!
Great Job, Colt!
I carry this revolver daily, and I have to admit it, it is a FINE piece of machinery. Light enough for everyday toting, highly accurate, with a trigger in both DA and SA that is a dream. Ive heard some of my generation whining about how is is not like the "old" colts, and this is true. It's better. My only complaint is that no one seems to know what size allen wrench is needed to change out the front sight. Nothing I have is the right size. Any ideas? Love this revolver!! GET ONE!!!
Doesn't work-buy something else.
Cylinder will not open on 2 of the chambers. Double action also jams on the same two chambers. This is totally unacceptable on a self defense firearm. Colt informed me that it would take 25-30 days to repair. There are some You Tube videos about the problems with the Colt KC and I suggest you view them before buying this gun. For $899 I expect better! BTW, service from Brownells is top notch--my complaint is solely about Coly.
