IRON SIGT SLIDES FOR GLOCK 19

The Brownells Iron Sight Slide for Glock®19® Gen3 enables you to build a custom Glock®-style pistol with a slide that sports distinctive cocking serrations. The front serrations aid in manipulating the slide, especially for quick chamber checks AND for clearing the occasional jam (caused by problem ammo, of course!). Both the front and rear serrations are cut to the same depth as the Glock® factory slide serrations to ensure preservation of structural rigidity. The top edges and the front around the muzzle area are chamfered to reduce the risk of snagging on clothing and to make holstering the pistol easier. You can get your Brownells Iron Sight Slide for Glock® 19 Gen3 with a solid top and wraparound front cocking serrations.

Like all Brownells slides, the Iron Sight model for Glock® 19 Gen3 is precision machined from solid 17-4 stainless steel billet to factory specifications inside so it is compatible with any factory or aftermarket Gen3 internal components. Outside, there's a Glock® factory rear sight dovetail and a standard Glock® front sight tenon cut ready for any factory or aftermarket sights you choose. This is the perfect companion "top-half" for a custom pistol built on a Polymer80 80% frame.

A good product at a very resonable price

I had no problems at all with installing OEM Glock parts into this slide. It fit the frame and functioned just fine. So I was very satisfied with the Brownell's Glock 19 iron sight slide.

Known Issue [Solution]

A lot of people who purchased this product (and similar Brownells Glock slides) have stated they experienced consisted ejection issues. I was experiencing this issue as well, and was worried the money I spent on 4 separare Brownells slides were wasted. Luckily I found the solution... if not already done, you should change out your Gen3 ejector for a Gen4 or Gen5 ejector. Please be aware, I'm NOT saying to replace the extractor. I went through multiple extractors without any improvements. The ejector is the small piece of bent metal protruding from the trigger housing that knocks the spent casing away. Not being a moving part I did not assume that would change anything, which is why I neglected to replace it sooner. But it made a world of difference. You can usually get an OEM Glock Gen4/Gen5 ejector from some sites for $10-15 with the trigger housing, but you don't need to replace the whole housing. Look online for HowTo videos on replacing the ejector on its own. It takes about 5 minutes at most.

First time build

First time assembling a pistol. This slide fits very well on the Freedomwolf frame I assembled. Bought the slide parts kit from Brownells also. Machining on the slide is very well done. Forward serrations are very useful! I would definitely buy another slide when the time comes.

Build purchase

Building a G19 from scratch. On arrival I was impressed on the quality of the slides machining. For the price I thought it was a great value. Would recommend it for anyone building a g19 or as a replacement.

Surprisingly Good Quality for the Money

After several videos recommending the Brownells G19 slide, I bought one for my P80 build. For the great price, I expected there would be something I didn't like. My slide is perfect. It arrived very well packaged in a heavy plastic tube. My P80 is not ready yet, but it operates perfectly on my two Glock 19's.
