Awesome for .308

IMR4064 is definitely the go-to powder for me when it comes to .308 - you can always find load data easily and it just simply works!!

Performs & Consistent

I have been using IMR 4064 to load my .308 rounds and it has been performing well for my rifle, shooting Hornady ELD Match 178 gr. out of a 24" 1:10 barrel. I have a bottle of Hodgdon Varget and will give that try after my supply of IMR 4064 runs out but for now, the IMR has been giving me consistent sub MOA groups.

i RECENTLY LOADED SOME 130 GN. FOR MY 270 WIN. i WAS ABLE TO SHOOT 1/2 GROUPS AT 100 YDS. i AM EXTREMELY PLEASE WITH THE COMBINATION OF BALLISTIC AMMO AND IMR 4064 POWDER. LOOKING FORWARD TO HUNTING WITH IT SOON!!!

Great powder for 35 Whelen

I have most recently started using 4064 as recommended for reloading 35 Whelen cartridges and am very pleased with its performance. I have had complete ignition and great bullet groupings since beginning to utilize this IMR powder.

A gold standard

I picked up 8 lbs of IMR 4064 because everyone I talked to told me it was the gold standard for accuracy loads in 308 Winchester. I was loading 175gr Sierra Matchkings with Federal 210M primers and Hornady Brass. My accuracy load ended up being 41.7gr of IMR 4064. I will say that although this powder performed extremely well in my rifle, it was not the best powder I tried. 4064 always metered well and performed consistently so I would certainly recommend it for anyone that's loading for 308, 223, and a handful of other calibers. It's a great place to start.
