Howa 1500 mini
Bought this to build out a .222 REM target gun. Just what I was looking for and it came very quickly from Brownells. Great quality, will be fun to make this build

Good stuff!
I added this Howa barreled action into an MDT Oryx chassis. It has been a blast. Accuracy has been decent with cheap ammo. I will soon be testing it out using some good ammo. I had to call the Brownell tech hotline and received all of the answers I needed to get this rifle put together.

Very happy!
This is my first time building my own gun. I wanted this caliber for the light recoil, cheaper ammo, and for long(er) range. My thinking was that the 22" barrel would give me a little more velocity, and thus a little more distance. I put this in an MDT LSS chassis, and I'm not disappointed. So far I have about 80 rounds through the barrel and have found the Hornady Varmint factory loads to be the most accurate, with a 5 shot group of .85 at 100 yards. My issue with the barrel is that it heats up quickly. If I could redo this build, i would have gone with the 20" heavy barrel. The biggest con to this build is buying extra Howa propietary magazines at $30 apiece. With all of that said, I'm very pleased with this Howa barreled action and it has been worth the money.

Howa mini action 223 22" barrel
Ordered one to make a new light weight rifle for my wife for this year's shooting of gophers. I didn't think it would shoot light bullets very well being 8 twist. Shoots 60/55/50 all under an inch 5 shoot groups. A pleasant surprise.. Trigger was cut done 3/4 of one coil to get it down to 2 lbs. one oz. and a very nice trigger love that action on a blue Boyds stock a pretty shooter all in one... Just wish Howa would bring back the same action in 222 with a 9 twist I'd buy one right now.....
