Fits
I like the product, but honestly for the price point I would like to see at least an option for metal trigger guard and the magazines being proprietary and expensive also is a turn off. So it’s either take it or leave it.
Great Idea. Needs Improvement!
I own 2 (Mini Action 6.5 Grendel; Short Action .308) Howa 'Bottom Plastic' Magazine Kits. Both cracked on me at the Action Screw Holes before reaching the recommended torque specifications. I love the "Idea" of Legacy Sports International (LSI)/ATI AmmoBoost kits, however, if "Bottom Metals" were not going to be metallic - the Action Screw Holes should have been reinforced with either Steele, Aluminum or Brass Bushings either encapsulated inside the 'Bottom Plastic' or flush with the 'Bottom Plastic'. The (6.5 Grendel/7.62x39) 5-Rounds magazines always had 1 to 3 misfeeds with the 'Bottom Plastic' and were overpriced. I've never had a misfeed with the Mambamag Bottom Metal & 10-Round Magazines from MDT (Black Friday Specials). The Short Actions 'Bottom Plastic' Kit feeds well, before and after cracking. It was originally on a .308 but has since migrated to a 6.5 Creedmoor where it is RTV-3145'd into place because I doubt it will hold up to another removal when the Barreled Action is cleaned.
Great Idea; Great Price but Flawed execution by not reinforcing the Action Screw Holes. They cracked at the seam lines. I'm not sure if there's enough polymer at the Action Screw Holes to drill and install aftermarket metallic (Steele, Aluminum or Brass) bushings. I would only recommend those willing to take the time reinforce/modify the kit, although the price is hard to pass on if one is on a budget and doesn't plan to be in "rugged terrain".
