PMAG D-50® MP 9MM LUGER MAGAZINE FOR HECKLER & KOCH HK94/MP5® Reviews & Ratings

Lightweight but incredibly strong, Mapul’s PMAG D-50 MP is a highly reliable, 9x19mm Parabellum, 50-round drum magazine for HK94/MP5 large-format pistols and pistol caliber carbines.*

The PMAG D-50 MP boasts many of the proven features of magpul’s other 9mm drums such as the PMAG D-50® EV9™ – CZ Scorpion® EVO 3. Providing 50-round capacity, the unique drum configuration keeps the height of the magazine manageable, allowing for prone firing and easier storage. For easy loading, it includes a ratcheting loading lever that removes tension from the internal spring.

To keep track of your available firepower, we’ve included a rounds-remaining rear window, a high-visibility follower and a capacity indication roller. And like magpul’s other drum magazines, the PMAG D-50 MP is easily disassembled for cleaning and maintenance.

9mm mo5 drum
Can’t get it to seat properly gun keeps jamming I bought two I put 20 rounds in each drum. Worked once out of 20 attempts am I missing something or doing something wrong? Gun worked beautifully with stick mags before and after.

MP/SP/AP5 D-50 Drum
This Magpul drum is sturdy, easy to load and disassembles easily to clean and maintain. Everyone should have at least one loaded drum in your safe per tool. Brownells has great prices and tue best sales. Always watch their emails for deals you can’t pass up. This was one you shouldn’t miss.

For the sale price
For that 50-70 drun sale theyre all steals. Theyre obviously more for dinking at the range and too look cool than practical, tho there is some utility to some degree.

Magpul 50 for MP5s
When loaded one round at a time these mags function perfectly in my German fa guns in every trigger mode. People have problems with these mags by trying to load two at a time and that often skews the cartridges resulting in failures to feed properly. My three mags work perfectly

Excellent product
Have a few fa German MP5s and these mags work perfectly, every time. I suspect that the kids here having problems are not reading the instructions. Cranking the drum mechanism to far to load a single cartridge or trying to load two cartridges at once is a recipe for dim operator disaster. Load one round at a time, cranking the drum only enough to get that one round in, otherwise you will run the risk of getting a cartridge or cartridges skewed in the mag. I've shot mine semi, burst and fa many, many times without one single problem ever. There has never been a need for me to "let the loading lever slam home a time or two after loading". Do it right in the first place.

pay attention to how you load this drum
Like all drums these have to be loaded correctly, with my ap5k this was the one mag I've never had issues with that wasn't made by HK or had all new parts in it. If you're using it in a clone make sure your set up is solid and you're using the right locking piece and correct ejection spring.

Question That it would work
Tried to test mag dump @ house and it was having issues was never able to get the 2nd or 3rd round to chamber . I thought it needed more force to get the rounds to chamber & it sure was shooting thru zeinth I ran 3 full drums no issues .... Mag is alittle sloppy when seated in Just a small amount of play... Sucks loading it up to 50

Worth picking up
If you have a real German gun, it will function but ONLY if you do the following: After loading fully, pull the loading lever on the drum back the whole way and let it slam home on its own. This seems to alleviate jamming issues. Would only recommend for target practice, not self defense.

Decent
Worth picking up but won’t fit a K gun with the standard front grip. Prone to jams. But it seems to help resolve the jams if you fully load the drum and then pull on the loading lever all the way and let it slam home a couple times. Fun range toy but due to questionable reliability I would not recommend using for self defense.
