Better price and fast shipping
This great pistol was an average of $50 to $150 dollars cheaper at brownells and it was at my FFL in two days. Whats not to like about that?

PERFECT CARRY GUN
I love my new Springfield Hellcat 9mm pistol. I have been a S&W Shield 40 owner for 8 years and it was my EDC. The Shield is a great concealed carry gun but it was only a 6 +1 round gun in 40 S&W and the typically purchased Shield 9mm was a 7 +1 round gun. The Hellcat is slightly smaller and slightly lighter than the Shield, but it holds 5 more rounds than the Shield 40 and 4 more rounds than the Shield 9mm (see photos). Note that the Shield 9mm and Shield 40 are identical sized guns. I use the Hellcat with the flat mag base plates so I have 11 +1 round in the gun and carry another 11 round backup mag for a total of 23 rounds. Springfield also has a 13 round mag but I do not like the pinky extension on mags as I try to keep the gun as small as possible. My Hellcat trigger came stock with a 5 1/2 pound trigger pull, which is perfect for my use. The Hellcat is accurate, has a great non-slip grip, I like the new style sights, it has minimal felt recoil even when shooting +P ammunition, and it is easy for me to fire several rapid shots and keep the hits on target. The Hellcat is now my EDC gun. I doubt I will put the red dot optics on this self-defense gun because picking up the red dot in a mini optics window opening takes more time than sighting using open sights. The mini red dot is tiny compared to using a larger red dot optic where the dot is much easier to find. A second or two lost looking for that red dot could be costly. Since it only cost $30 more for the optics model Hellcat, I thought it was well worth it just in case I change my mind about adding the mini red dot. I highly recommend this gun. My Hellcat was ordered when Brownells had their Black Friday Deal back in November 2019. Brownells was offering pre-orders for the Hellcat standard model at $455 including shipping. I placed the order and a couple days later I contacted Brownells to see if I could pay the $30 extra to upgrade to the optics ready model and Brownells said yes. I received the pistol on March 9, 2020, so the wait was 3 1/2 months. The total cost was $485 including the upgrade to the optics ready model, all fees and shipping. That total does not include my local FFL transfer fee of $25.

Love this gun
Although Brownell's was unable to fulfill my order, I did manage to find one from another retailer. I'm 6'5" and have large hands...the Hellcat fits very well as there is a little extension on the bottom of the magazine that lets my little finger grip nicely. So for no issues. I have only shot Hornady Critical Duty 135gr FlexLock ammo, but it shot flawlessly. Highly recommended! I am not putting an optic on mine just yet...they still cost equal to or more than the gun it'self, so I'll wait a while for the prices to come down.

Sweet Edc
The Springfield Hellcat 9mm is an outstanding firearm that is perfect for concealed carry. Its small size makes it easy to carry, while the 11-round magazine capacity provides ample firepower. The trigger is smooth and crisp, allowing for accurate and fast shots, while the sights are easy to acquire and provide a clear sight picture. Overall, the Hellcat 9mm is a reliable and accurate handgun that is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a concealed carry firearm

Perfect EDC
Lightweight, very accurate & easy to carry al day long, only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of of 5 star, is the Red Dot should be included with this weapon when you buy it.

first weapon I bought without holding!
This Hellcat intrigued me for the reasons of previous reviews. I could never find one anywhere to actually hold one but had seen enough to know that it would be OK and it is. I have only put 150 rounds through it but it is spot on with the sights it came with to nail the bull between 10-25 yards & I am fine with that, as it will enter my concealed carry group once I get more comfortable with it. I have a JPoint reflux which will drop right in the OSP slot so now some fun trying that out. Never had a Springfield Armory handgun up until now. At this point would have given the Hellcat a 5 but have to get used to the big take up before breaking, but the break is a nice solid wall. Some reviewers indicated the trigger needed an easy fix to avoid the safety not releasing but I believe this one made about May 2020 corrected that issue because mine is fine.
