Rifle rods
When my safe shelf broke, someone recommended to use rifle rods. This rifle rod kit is well worth the money. I'd like it more if the rods were coated metal but for the price point I'm definitely not disappointed. The amount of room in my safe almost doubled. Do not hesitate to run this rifle rod system. First off, hat's off to Brownells for their great selection of products, competitive pricing, special offers and quick shipping. Now for the rifle rods; Like everyone that own's a gun safe we eventually end up with more firearms than our safe's can accommodate and this my friend is the answer. I have a Browning safe that had the usual notched rack that was supposed to hold 30 long guns inside the safe and another 10 long guns in the door and it held exactly half that, 15 and 5 respectably. After purchasing these rifle rods and taking time to think out a game plan on how to best utilize the interior space, I found that I could easily add another 10 long guns. Even if I couldn't add another single gun, the ease of getting to the guns I have now is sooooo much easier and no more banging them together just trying to remove the one I need. My safe had carpeted shelf's so I didn't kneed to use the roll of loop material, the rods stuck to it like glue. I only wish there was some way to double the space on my door rack like these rods did for my interior. Do yourself a HUGE favor and try these.
Can fit more guns in my safe!
This kits great. It was easy to install and now I can fit at least another 8 guns in my safe. Had to move some shelves around but it wasn't hard to do and now everything looks great and is easy to get to. Great product!

Can't believe that someone did not thinks of this sooner. Bought the rifle rods & handgun hangers. They work just as discribed. Doubled the space in my gun safe, much neater and easier to get guns in and out. Plus it's inexpensive and made in USA. Great product
Excellent product!!
I was out of room in my safe, with long guns all on top of each other. It was a major pain to get to any of them without them falling over and out of the safe. With this system I was able to not only clean up and organize my safe, but also make room for a couple of more long guns that I might purchase in the future.
Saved me from having to buy another safe
I bought my kit about a year ago at a gun show (I had seen it advertised previously in a gun mag) I could not fit anymore rifles in my safe without laying one against the other and was considering a second safe. With a little planning I almost doubled the safe capacity, if you need a gun from the back you may have to remove one or two to get to it, but that's where the planning comes in.
Sounds good in theory
These rods and Velcro work mechanically hence the two stars instead of one. Unless you own mostly shotguns and single-shot, open-sight rifles these rifle rods will do very little to maximize your space. The same problem that always plagues gun safes doesnt change with these rods; scopes, bolt guns and AR-type rifles will always take up two guns worth of space no matter what you do.
