Great product. But they need to make a .308 size.
Best on the market for the sizes they have. However, they don't market a .308 size.
Please Brownells stock that size.

RamRodz Best way to clean a bore.
These really get the grime out. Easier to use than patches. Also handy for applying "grease" where needed on my firearms that require grease.
Super Strong Sticks
Bought these to swab the barrel, but Im using them as general purpose swabs due the strength and flexibility of their sticks. Wooden cotton swabs usually have brittle handles and break easily, but these are flexible and very strong. Im replacing all of my cotton swabs with these.
Works great
Give your shotgun some barrel cleaner run a bore snake though it and 1 of these clean as new.
Great for Revolvers
I use the .45 on my revolver cylinder and barrel after I finish running standard patches through. The Ram Rodz pick up a ton of grime that the patches didn't - especially in the revolver cylinder.. Great product.
Ramrodz
Got a sample of these in a prior order. Set them aside for about 6 months and tried one on my SW 38 spl. Wow. Did not have enough samples so ordered full packs of 22, 38 and 308. Been shooting my 38 for 50+ years and thought that it was "clean". it was NOT! 22 swabs later and some Butches Boreshine and a brass brush, NOW it is clean!! This sure beats cutting patches and jags!! Well worth the cost vs the time for the old way. I guess I will find out how "clean" my other guns are now.
Great Pistol Barrel Cleaner
I've used these fairly often to clean my wife's XD 45, and they work great. One thing I like to do is run them through stick end first. This way they seem to hold a bit more of the solvent a bit longer. They do really clean the bore, but I think they might be a little tight for putting a final oil swipe in the barrel. In a pinch, you can use the 45's for cleaning a 9 mm gun. I got my wife a new 9 Shield, and used the 45 RamRodz to clean the barrel, that's when I found running them through backwards worked a lot better. I have ordered the 9's because I like using the 45's. Will also probably get the small 22's, just for the nooks & cranny's.
Excellent
These are, by far, the best swabs I have used. The stick is long enough to get into those hard to reach places, the swab is tightly wound and doesn't come apart, and - here's the best part - the stick is flexible and doesn't snap as you are manipulating the swab. In fact, after being amazed by the flexibility and strength of the stick I decided to bend one (used, of course - I'm just that cheap) to see how far it would go before it broke. I bent it fully 180 degrees, and even then it didn't snap - the stick just split. It would have still been usable. I can't tell you how many times I have had "the other brands" snap off, just when I am reaching into that hardest to get to spot on a rifle or pistol. I don't use these to clean the barrel (they are much more expensive than patches), but just to check their claim I did send one through the barrel of my Ruger Single Six. The claim is valid: it fit tightly, and did a very good job of picking up fouling in the barrel. I would say one of these swabs absorbs about twice as much as a patch (but as stated, I'm cheap so still using patches). Bottom line: these are an Excellent choice, and I will be buying more of them.
Forget the other q-tips
These are best q-tips you can ever use to use in your firearms. First, the packaging is very neat and convenient. they come in a zip lock bag which is very useful. Now, the product itself is well made and it will not leave lints all ver the place like the other q-tips. Second, they don't brake. You can use them with confidence. I am extremely happy that I discovered this product. If you are an avid shooter, gunsmith, armorer these q-tips are definitely a wise investment. You won't be let down.
love em
excellent absorbent, ease of use
