Great for larger hands
Great for larger hands. Tames recoil substantially.
My absolute favorite for revolver grips
I have these on all my S&W revolvers, and love them; the finger grooves give you a consistent grip on the draw, they don't slip or squirm around under recoil, and they work with sweaty or wet hands
Colt Python 357 Magnum grips
I have a Colt Python 357 Magnum with another company grips on it! I was not satisfied with the grips until I got my pachmayr grips installed on it. Now I love the way the gun shoots and feels in my hands. I am very satisfied with the grips, in fact I ordered a second set for the gun I have on order now!
Quality, comfortable grips
I purchased the Pachmayr grip as I have put them on other pistols that I have owned and have always been pleased with the fit and comfort, The open back grip is a little smaller and would fit someone with medium to large hands. The complete wrap around is a bit bigger, and may not fit someone with smaller hands. They do add a lot of surface grip, for more controlled shot placement, and are very comfortable in the hand. I carry outside the waiste band quite often, and I do carry my revolver once in a while. These do add to the visibility (printing), so you do have to wear the appropriate clothing to adequately conceal the grips. I certainly have no problems carrying a revolver for concealed carry and these grips are just the ticket. On the range, I find that I can practice more with comfortable grips, without having to worry about recoil as much, even shooting heavier loads, so that is a big plus. The fit and finish is great, and you can put them on in a quick amount of time. Be careful to not over tighten the grip screw as it can pull all the way thru, and ruin the grips. Just snug it up. Overall, these grips are an excellent product, and an excellent value for the money. Brownell's did a great job in shipping the grips out the same day, and I had the grips in about 4 days. Great job as always. Thank you.
Well worth the effort and money.
I have used these grips in various sizes on various calibers. Most of them have fit with very little fitting. My last set for the N-frame did require some trimming of the spree, or the flashing around and along the fitting edges. The outside seams needed burnishing to remove the sharpness of the spree. Not a big deal. These sure make shooting enjoyable with any caliber. They fill your hand and take up recoil.
Awesome Product
The Pachmayr "J" Frame grip is a perfect fit on my S&W 637. The checkered grip has a firm but comfortable feel and the extra finger extension makes handling very secure. Accuracy and control are improved and installation was quick and easy. I highly recommend.
Quality, fit and price!
Pachmayr grips are the best I've ever found. I've been buying from Brownells since 1974 and have always found them not only competitive , but the best. Pachmayr grips and recoil pads are the industry standard and give long service. I have a pair on an old Smith and Wesson I put on in 1975 and still use it often.
Great fit makes for better accuracy!
I've shot my Colt Diamondback for over 30 years using the stock wooden grips with good results. However since using the pistol with my new Pachmayr grips the accuracy at all distances has absolutely improved! The grips are so comfortable & the material makes for a great feel. There's no slipping around in your hand from trigger squeeze or even recoil. They were very easy to put on & look so fine! But what I really like about them is they allow for the hammer to draw back enough to fire in "single action" use. The price was more than reasonable. Glad that I found them on Brownells.
Helps with .44 Magnum recoil
I've used these "Grippers" for many years on a variety of S&W revolvers. My first pair replaced the factory grips on a model 629 and made a huge difference. Changed the character of the pistol (for the better) while shooting heavy magnum loads. Since then, I've added these grips to several other magnum revolvers. The enclosed backstrap is much easier on the hand than the open backstrap. Worth every penny and lasts for years. My 629 "Gripper" grips are pushing 30-years old and still in excellent shape.
Very comfortable and easy to install.
These are probably the most comfortable grips I've ever bought. I have a S&W 586 and the grips fit perfectly and were easy to install. The quality of the grips is exceptional. I like the open back design because it allows for a very solid hold. The compound that the Pachmayrs are made of really feels solid.
