Sierra has enhanced a segment of the MatchKing line by adding the acetal resin tip, thus crowning the Tipped MatchKing (TMK) bullet line. The major advantage of adding a tip to the bullet is the reduction of drag, producing a more favorable ballistic coefficient. The 165 grain Tipped MatchKing (TMK) bullet is an excellent choice for F-Class (F Open) matches, as well as 3-Gun and various other competitions. Due to the ballistic advantage that the tip provides, the 165 Tipped MatchKing (TMK) will stay supersonic at 1,000 yards at normal .308 Winchester velocities, unlike its untipped counterpart.

While they are recognized around the world for record-setting accuracy, MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are not recommended for most hunting applications. Although MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are commonly used for varmint hunting, their design will not provide the same reliable explosive expansion at equivalent velocities in varmints compared to their lightly jacketed Hornet, Blitz or Varminter counterparts.

Accurate and deadly

Have been using this bullet for about 30 years in 308, 30-06, and 300 Win Mag. Performance on Texas whitetail has always been one shot dead deer right where was standing. Accuracy is truly hard to believe, they will shoot just as well as 168gr BTHP match and when loaded to same velocity as Federal Gold Medal Match, to same point of aim (in 308). I know the BC doesnt look good for these, but if you want a truly accurate bullet that will put whitetail down from 20 to 400 yards give this bullet a try, I dont think you will be disappointed.

Accurate bullet and great stopper!

I have been loading and hunting with this bullet for 42 years and it has never let me down. Always excellent performance, has taken over 35 bucks, all one shot but one (that was my fault). Exit hole about fist size, does not destroy a lot of meat, heart and neck shots.

Too good to be true

I just still can't believe how good these bullets shoot. I was able to shoot 5 bullets into 1/4 of an inch at 100 yards with a Remington 700, and was able to shoot 4 bullets into about 1/3 of an inch with a Ruger American. The bullet just flat out shoots accurately.

Great product

I love these 165 grain Sierra match King bullets. The shoot great out of my 300 WinMag as well as all of my 30-06 rifle's.

Excellent bullet

I have been reloading this bullet for my 300 win mag for about 10 years and have used it on antelope,deer, and elk. Tried several different bullets before this one and none compared in accuracy and results. Shot a mule deer buck at 325 paces and the lungs and heart literally looked like they had exploded when I field dressed it. Have shot several elk and had perfect results. My rifle is sighted in so I am able to hold dead on out to about 350 yards if necessary. Have it loaded to a velocity of about 2900 feet per second and it performs flawlessly.

Excellent Hunting Bullet elk/mule deer

Great accuracy and great downrange performance on animals. .308 Winchester- My kids have used these bullets to take 1-huge mule deer buck, and 2- cow elk. Mule deer was shot @200yds and both Elk were shot @300yds.

Outstanding bullet!

I have been using this bullet for years, and I have been very much impressed with the accuracy and performance of this bullet. The performance on whitetail deer is great! It's the best bullet I've used in .308s! If you haven't tried this bullet, you should; you'll be glad you did!

Accurate Bullet

I can't speak to the terminal ballistics, but it's accurate as heck!

Above and beyond!

This bullet is nothing shy of superb, much as with my other calibers (6.5x55, 7mm-08, 308,and 270 WSM) the Game King is the best shooting bullet in my 30-06 when combined with H4350. The terminal performance seems to defy physics, expansion is on par with the poly tips and penatretion has been through and through every single time. This bullet makes the largest exit wounds of any bullet I have used to date, the last one looked like I had fired a cannon through it, 6" hole no kidding! I have heard some people say they seperate at high end magnum speeds, never have hit with them that fast, but at 2400-2900fps impact speeds the performance is perfect. Thanks Serria for another A+ product you realy went above and beyond the call of duty on this one.
