Looks and works great
i purchased six of these around 2009 or 2010. i have used two of them and they have functioned without flaw (no jams, failure to feed or problem loading 30 rounds) for seven years pushing hundreds of rounds through both. unless you look very close you can't tell much difference between the texture of the grip of the Five-seven N and the magazine. i would recommend this product to anyone.
Bought and tested 3 of these mags
I tested 3 of these 30RND 5.7 PRO MAGS I purchased from Brownells in both of my new FN Five-seven pistols with about 60 previous shot rounds in each of my two pistols. At about 100 RNDS.. 2 mags jammed..one 20RND Factory Mag.. once, and one 30RND mag once. Next range trip I shot over 400RNDS in each pistol alternating both 20RND Factory mags and 30 RND PRO MAGS..FLAWLESS results. My next trip to the range I tested more than 200RNDS in each pistol using mostly the 30RND PRO MAGS... again... performed perfectly. Ammo majority using 197Sporting rounds, plus two boxes of 195, and 12RNDS of protector Elite ammo.
Awesome product!
I love high capacity mags that work! And this is one. It adds 10 rounds to the factory 20 round clip. The extension only hangs out of the pistol handle two inches. The fit and finish looks like a factory made piece. The mags will even fit in the original FNH five-seven hard case with a couple easy cuts. And looks factory. I can't say enough about these extensions. Buy them, three off them. You won't be disappointed. And boy do they grab the attention of others.
The best deal and in stock on the Intern
Trying to find these mags is hard, even gun shows want more for these. I purchased one a long time ago, and the quality is great. Brownells is the best place to buy firearms accessories and ammo..
Not for defensive use
As others mention, the quality control is pretty poor on these ProMag magazines. Judging by other mags from the same brand I wouldnt trust this for more than range time. I haven't shot with them yet, but they will reliably hand cycle 5 snap caps. The magazine does not eject freely from mine, I have to pull it with quite some force. There are also some pretty ugly seam lines from the molding process (flashing). Another issue of note is the lack of a steel lining on the inside feed lips which are present on the original factory FN mags. Overall, especially for the price and lack of other options, I would say get one but don't get your hopes up.
Bad workmanship
30 rounds Ha only holds 21 waste of money
20rds is enough...
Jammed the gun in 4/5 attempts. Very disappointed. That one time it did work it was great to roast through 30 rds, but utter failure 80% of the time. Visually close but no cigar to matching the Five-seveN grip texture and lines.
Not FNH Mags
I tried the 30 round mags in both 5.7 pistols. The problems occurred in 20+ rounds. Feeding problems with both pistols. I returned the mags to Brownells for refund... Both pistols worked with 0 failures with the factory mags...." there were three different mags that were tested....
