Good stuff
Lucas products are excellent.
New favorite
Cleans as good or better than any strong smelling solvent. It got the bore in my old M1 carbine cleaner than it has been since I got it some 40 or so years ago. I was thrilled. Bore is in much better shape than I thought. All this, and it smells no stronger than dish soap. Another big plus; a little left on a metal surface does no harm. In fact, leaves behind a protective film. Important if it runs into a spot you can't get to easily. I can't find a down side to this stuff.
Lucas
I love all of the Lucas products. No strong odors, does a great job removing dirt and grime without damage to the firearm. Highly recommend any of their products!
Excellent cleaner
Can be used without a ultrasonic cleaner. Viscosity similar to water. I have not let it sit long enough to see the effects on copper, but it works well to remove everything else. No unpleasant odor.
Good product
There's no noxious odor so you won't get chased out of the house by an angry spouse. What odor there is, is very mild, and you won't be poisoned by casual skin contact. It's polymer safe so that's a plus. Won me over with one of my harder cleaning jobs, the gas piston from my shotgun. Let it soak, took a brush too it and was pleasantly surprised at the results.
Disappointed
I decided to give this bore cleaner a try as I'm always looking for something better..... Although the Lucas cleaner smells good that's about all I can say for it. I have several other solvents, homemade Ed's Red being one of them that does a much better job of removing carbon, powder fouling and some even will loosen up lead deposits. I expected better with the Lucas solvent as I use their other car products and have been pleased with them.
