Works Well
I would have to echo 'Roger G', on this. i bought 2 of these for my 511's, they went on easy enough, no problems opening or closing and work as advertised. but i think they are overpriced for what they are and should be at lease 10$ cheaper.
Great accessory for my Eotech 512 HWS
I thought I would have a hard time installing this accessory on my Eotech 512 holographic weapons sight, but the installation went smooth and easy. I did not have to use any dish washing soap as was recommended in the instructions if the cover didn't fit on easy. Went on like a snap. Be very careful removing the factory installed screws on the Eotech canopy. Best if you use a proper star tipped screwdriver rather than the Allen wrenches that come with the accessory as the factory installed screws have locktite on them. The lens caps are a little difficult snapping open and closed, but still fits like a charm! Also make sure that you put the rail piece back on the Eotech sight before putting the canopy back on the sight. This accessory still deserves five stars! I brought the model that says "Front Towards Enemy"
Works as Advertised
If you are going to spend the money on the optics, then it is wise to protect your investment. This cover does it all. Do read the instructions and this will make installation easier. I am completely satisfied with this product.
Great product
This one is worth the money. I found it easy to put on, just follow the directions. Very tight fit and a great seal on the ends. Take your time when you remove the hood.The screws are not very deep and have a little threadlocker on them.
Great cover for that expensive optic.
I'm an LEO and firearms instructor for my PD. I have two AR's and run EOTechs on both. These covers are extremely easy to install and do what they say they're supposed to do. The front and rear covers remain closed when you want them to be and open quickly enough when you need to use the EOTech. Never a problem and highly recommend this item !
Great Product, A Must Have For Eotech
I am a police officer & have an EoTech mounted on my M4 Carbine. This cover protects the lenses of my Eotech & easy to install. If you have an EoTech You have to get one of these. You have invested good money on your EoTech.....Buy one of these & protect Your Investment.
Price is the only down side
Works just fine on my 512. Easy to install, fit was perfect and no dishsoap was needed. I don't feel the price fit the product, a bit expensive for what you get. Doors open and close just fine with a secure snap. I'll purchase another since its the only sight protection of its kind.
Mine required a little break in
When I first got my cover, it seemed to be very hard to get to snap shut, and the covers didn't want to open quickly. Now, around 6 months later everything feels like it was factory fit. Snaps shut solidly, and flips open completely and quickly. I actually use this on my shotgun which I use for almost every type of hunting, plus trap and sporting clays, so it got used quite a bit. I'm happy I stuck with it.
lens cover
This works pretty well to keep your lens clean. takes some power to get in place. NOTE: read your Eotech papper work. removing the Hood voids the warranty.
poor fit
while this is well made it does not snap shut very well one side will be flush while the other is not. both back and front is this way. very difficult to put on. almost need "jaws of life". if it wasn't so hard to remove i would ask for a refund!!!!!not worth the $$
