Yes, I would recommend to a friend
works great
I have put these on several of my carry guns, they accomplish the function I want while being minimally obtrusive or gaudy.
Makes the Slimline 43X & 48 even slimmer
OEM part works but this works better. It's all about the top bump and the curve in; allows you positively activate when necessary and doesn't get hooked on clothing or anything else. I like these so much, ALL of my Glocks have them!!
Great product with a minor flaw
The only flaw is that when I use my Tipton snap caps, the slide is held open with one round left in the magazine, this happens on my 3x shield (gen 2) 15 round magazines, as well as my 4x OEM mags. When using my A-ZOOM snap caps, 115 gr blazer brass, or my federal hst 124 gr carry ammo, it works flawlessly. I suspect this issue is due to the small dimensional changes between this product and the OEM Slide stop. Seems that if the last round is not heavy enough, it pushes the slide stop up just enough to engage it with the slide. Unfortunately for us consumers, it seems this dimensional change is present in all after-market extended slide stops. But fortunately (for me at least) this product works with any ammo I may actually wish to train with and carry..
It works for me!
I wanted a extended that looked somewhat like a stock slide release. I tried this one despite some of the other reviews that said they had slide lock on the last shot. I bought two, as I own a 43x & g48. These work fine as I have not experienced any problems as others have mentioned. I have shot both glocks with no problems at around 500 rds each, so far so good.
Great for Lefties
Slightly Larger touch point = easier operation for a left handed shooter.
Same as the other guy
Slide holds open with one round left instead of on an empty mag. Feels much better than the stock slide release but I'm not gonna sacrifice function for feel, so I'll be swapping the factory part back into my gun.
Do I need to bend it??
Well, what can I say? I installed this aftermarket part with high hopes. Unfortunately, it locks back with 1 round still left in the magazine. It does this with all 5 magazines that I have. Shall I put it in a vice and attempt to bend it so the follower doesnt engage this slide stop/release 1 round early?? Did I just get a lemon? I guess Ill give that a try, otherwise I will reinstall the original slide stop/release.
