EJECTOR REMOVAL TOOL

EJECTOR REMOVAL TOOL Reviews & Ratings

The Brownells Ejector Removal Tool is a versatile fixture lets you remove plunger-style ejectors from standard 0.700" and 0.510" diameter bolts quickly and safely without launching parts across the room. Works for a variety of popular rifles, including AR-15, AR-style .308 rifles, Remington 700, Winchester 70, Savage, and Sako. Rugged, lightweight body machined from 6061 billet aluminum securely holds bolt while threaded, tool steel shank compresses and captures ejector spring and aligns the roll pin for easy removal with a punch. Gradually loosen the shank to relieve spring tension. Instructions are included with the Brownells Ejector Removal Tool.

Fits: AR-15, AR-308, Remington 700, Winchester 70, Savage, and Sako rifles

Ejector Removal Tool dimensions: 3-13/16” (9.7cm) long x 2-1/4” (5.7cm) wide x 1-3/4” (4.5cm) high

Great tool
This tool makes removing an ejector easy. I did have to fiddle with the alignment a bit to make it work with my Tikka bolt (there wasn't enough clearance for the retaining roll pin to go through at first), but with a slight adjustment I found the right configuration. I haven't tried it with an AR bolt of either variety, but I have no doubt it will work just fine. This is a specialized gadget to make it effortless and secure (no flying springs to lose) to remove and reinstall an ejector, and it does it very well. The same tool being able to do it for a variety of most common bolt and semi-auto rifles is a huge plus. If you have a need to remove/reinstall ejectors into bolts (setting up sizing dies requires it, for instance), I would highly recommend this.

Great tool but……
I bought this for my ar 10 and 15 but I noticed it won’t work on my Ruger American bolts. It isn’t supposed to but if the steel plate was a little thinner it would. Otherwise it is a fine tool. I will just make a plate for the Ruger.
