The Brownells Ejector Removal Tool is a versatile fixture lets you remove plunger-style ejectors from standard 0.700" and 0.510" diameter bolts quickly and safely without launching parts across the room. Works for a variety of popular rifles, including AR-15, AR-style .308 rifles, Remington 700, Winchester 70, Savage, and Sako. Rugged, lightweight body machined from 6061 billet aluminum securely holds bolt while threaded, tool steel shank compresses and captures ejector spring and aligns the roll pin for easy removal with a punch. Gradually loosen the shank to relieve spring tension. Instructions are included with the Brownells Ejector Removal Tool.

Does what it's supposed to

I only have one small complaint, which is a knurled knob would be nice. As other reviews have stated, the finish makes the threads a little tight and rough. A little drop of oil and screwing it in and out all the way a couple times fixed it, but turning the smooth knob with oily fingers... some knurling would be nice.

Nice tool for ejector

Nice little tool that makes removing ejector a breeze. My only complaint is I wish there was a better end on the bolt to hang onto and turn. Like a T-handle or a nut. It's not a problem for the .223/5.56 side, but it's a bear on the .308 side........ I didn't have any of the thread problems the other reviews had, threads were great for me and the fit/finish is also great...... price is nice too, about $55 for two tools basically, where the same individual tool can run about $45 EACH or more...... only other drawback (but not really if you are an armorer/gunsmith) is this is a specific tool for a specific job , so some people may have a hard time swallowing $55 for a tool with only one job. If your tired of using a spent shell or punch and then losing parts, get this tool. Makes it so much easier.

Good tool to have...

Currently I have used this tool on 2.5 ar-15 builds. I say 2.5 because one was just a rebarrel. It handily does the job it was designed for but it is only built for that one task and for that it is a bit pricey (which is why the 4 stars) but if your going to be doing a lot of ar-15/10 builds or other rifle bolt work it is a good thing to have in the shop.
