Very good for the price
Measures accurately for reloading hunting bullets.
Quality calipers
I bought some cheap ones off Amazon last year- they malfunctioned. These are working great and feel much more stout and solid...
Easy accuracy
I use this for hobby type stuff that I do. Not every day but on a semi-regular basis. This works for me just as good as the expensive ones I used to use in the shops I worked at. Feels good. Feels tough enough for my use. Easy to see and adjust.
10 years and going strong
I have had this for about 10 years and still works like new. What's left to say.
Excellent
Excellent and accurate right out the box.
GREAT TOOL
CAN'T beat this caliper for the price! Would tell someone to buy one in a heart beat!
They're nicer than I expected
Bought two digital calipers, one Lyman and one of another brand I won't name (starts with H and ends with ornday) and found the "H" brand sometimes did not return to zero when closing the jaws by as much as 0.001 (usually when it happens, it's the 0.0005 which isn't an accurate resolution for either brand). Bought a second Lyman. The second one felt a little gritty, but cleaning and using so far has cleared a lot of that up. Both the Lymans seem to return to zero reliably. I purchased them to have a couple calipers dedicated for reloading purposes, not for machining and stuff like that. For basic measurements these seem to work decent. I also have a decade or two old Lyman dial caliper that is great and well cared for. My only complaint with the Lyman is with both of the ones I got, one of the batteries looked like they had started to corrode. For both of them the other battery seemed ok (they come with 2).
