Useful punches
These punches came in surprisingly handy and worked like a charm.
Very nice and no marring
What can I say, this is a MUST and is nice to have a designated pin punch with the extra inside tip. I have now used this set a couple of times and just love them. TIP: buy the Brownells special pin remover for the AR if your buying this set. The 1st time you use it, you will be saying thanks to this reviewer for mentioning it.
Fantastic!
Wish I would have had these bolt catch roll pin punch kits three builds ago. Really makes this easy and kit is inexpensive. Love that they are flat on one side to lay flat onto receiver and rubber coated to prevent marring receiver finish. No more duct tape & needle nose pliers.
Works Great
I used it to install bolt catch roll pin on a polymer lower. I put it away in same packaging it came in thinking I will probably never use it again as I don't think I will build another lower. I needed to put a roll pin in a gas block to hold gas tube and was having trouble using a regular punch. So I got out the bolt catch kit and was able to use roll pin punch to get roll pin started and drive it home. The roll pin holder starter was too deep for the small roll pin but probably could have made it work if I had a spacer. So this kit made things easy.
AR15 MUST HAVE!
If you do any serious AR15 work this is one of those must have tools. Inexpensive and makes the roll pin removal and installation so much safer and easier.
Very Good Tool
Made the difficult job so simple. And with no hammer marring of the lower receiver.
A Must Have Pair of Tools
The bolt release pivot pin on an AR-15 is in a difficult place close to the lower receiver body. It is difficult to start the pin & then hammer it all the way in without marring the side of the receiver. This pair of tools made it so simple for me. One surrounds the pin to start it & the other is a flat sided roll pin punch to use in hammering the pin all the way in. One result is a difficult job becomes easy. The best result is NO MARRING of the receiver from a misdirected hammer by hammering so close it.
