Great product
I have fit a lot of recoil pads and I always like using pachmayr, easy to grind and fit with just a disc sander. Recommend highly.

Fits Rem700 LongRange B&C stock
Medium size recoil pad 1.8 wide x 5.5 inches long. Wrapped BC stock with masking tape then cut one inch off stock, used chopsaw with fine tooth carbide blade. No melting of stock, made a clean cut. Carefully located, marked, and drilled holes on end of stock. Wrapped 2 layers masking tape plus 3layers blue painter tape around stock next to cut. Shaped pad using 4.5 inch angle grinder, 80 grit sandpaper, clamped to work bench with 2 rubber jaw adjustable clamps. Removed blue tape, kept shaping. Final hand shaping with 120 grit wrapped around piece of 2x2. Remove tape, cleaned up. Then glued pad to stock using 3M super weatherstrip black adhesive. A little more hand sanding and Done. Looks GOOD.

Easy Choice
I put one of these on a 18.5" 12 gauge a few years ago. Whenever I take it out to brush up on the gun, I appreciate it.

Good recoil pad
The pad is very good for what it is. However, I was resizing a medium pad for a customer who has a small butt stock. Inside the plastic hard base is a metal plate. While grinding to size, I hit the plate and exposed it which made the pad unusable. Never knew about the metal plate. So, this plate cannot be reduced in size to meet small stock dimensions. The down side is that when buying a small recoil pad, there is a different screw hole pattern which does not match.
