Great texture, bad fitment.

I really like the feel of this grip, along with the improved grip angle over the OEM grip. My biggest issue was fitment. I read all of the instructions that you will need to move it all the way forward, and might be required to use a rubber mallet. After loosening the grip screws enough to move it all the way forward and retightening, I was left with a gap to the rear of the trigger guard. I ended up having to separate the two halves to see what was causing the issue, and ended up filing away a portion of the upper rear of the grip to achieve a better fitment. I know others don't like that it's two pieces because they would prefer to have storage in the grip. This seems like a valid request, but I can deal with not having the storage as long as it wouldn't take fitting. If Magpul could get the fitment to be better this would be a 5 star product.

Could use some improvements

My largest concern is Surprisingly its not a one pice mold grip its 2 halves screwed together I can actually see light in some of the gaps wich brings up concerns of its shock resistance if dropped. It changes the grip angle pretty conciderably the stock safety no longer digs into my trigger finger The texture on the grip on front and back is just like there AR15 grips but the sides are different much sharper and adds a lot of grip for any slippery conditions I wish magpull would have made the grip a compartment just like in the AR15 grip so that I could keep batteries skittles and NFA paperwork in my gun. With this grip you actually cant take the lower off your scorpion unless you first take off this grip making takedown for cleaning kind of a pain. The grip is an affordable upgrade that can get the job done some will like it but magpull really needs to make a Gen2 to address Some of these issues as it stands I cant recommend it over its competition and in terms of structural security its not as strong as even the stock CZ grip and even limits takedown of the weapon . I expected a little better production quality from magpull and the grips have been on back order for a long time
