The CST 2^nd GEN Auto Bolt Stop will ONLY work with the Grand Masters, and will not function with the factory original or aftermarket bolts.

It Works! Last-Round BHO for the 10/22

Yes, this does require you to buy a Powers Custom Match bolt. But if you were already planning on buying a match bolt and an auto-release, then this is worth the spend because it works as advertised. It's also a really simple install. Plus the Powers Custom bolt is REALLY nice all on it's own, and easily the equal to any other aftermarket bolt in its price range.

Awesome product

I had the original model, where magazines had to be modified. This 2nd gen is awesome. Why didnt Ruger think of this! This makes the 10/22 a proper semi auto with last shot hold open. Kudos to the genius who thought of and engineered this bolt and bolt stop. I liked this system so much, I have it installed on all 4 of my 10/22s. Truly a great product!

GREAT PRODUCT LONG OVERDUE

A great product that was well overdue with one added benefit after 300 rounds I have had no problems with rounds stovepiping on me..... it seems that the extended extractor holds the round down in the clip and keeps it straight so it can't pop up and jam into the top of the receiver just above the barrel, Had I known this I would have bought this stop a long time ago.. The new install is a snap just take out the old bolt-stop and put in the new one. There are some differences after the install. You won't need the old extractor, bolt stop, spring, and bolt-stop/extractor pin. You'll have to remove/reinstall the hammer to remove the old bolt-stop spring. You'll also have to. slide the bottom bolt latch/mag pin over just enough to remove the old bolt-stop Then just follow your instincts and the rest should fall into place, GOOD LUCK!!!! I know you WILL enjoy this upgrade (NOTE) you need to buy the GEN2 bolt for this to work or you'll distroy the Auto Bolt Stop

Excellent part

Just as advertised. Very easy to install (if you know your gun). The Match bolt is much lighter and a better fit. Locks the bolt back on last shot as advertised. I recommend it to anyone that does more than plinking.

Best upgrade for the 10/22

Just got home after 12 mag changes, No problems holding or releasing the bolt NOW , Makes the 10/22 what it should have been, the gen II works with factory mags , no modifications are needed now, I never had the earlier version , that required a modification to the magazine

Buy this before buying other 10/22 parts

Keep in mind that this product replaces a few parts that people like to upgrade such as the automatic bolt release which is about 1/4 the cost of this kit. That makes buying this part and the required power custom bolt assembly a better deal especially when you figure that a bolt tune up kit is about 1/4 the cost of the bolt you need.
