The best available!
If there's a better primer pocket cleaner out there, I haven't seen or used it & I've used plenty of them. Like someone else, I have a primer pocket uniformer, but would use it for cleaning primer pockets. Why put wear & tear on a specialty tool that needs a very keen edge to work well. I'll save my uniformer for it's intend purpose. The Crocogater is by far the best tool for the job!
WHAT AN AWESOME TOOL !!!!!!!!
HAVE BEEN A RELOADER SINCE 1977 & HAVE USED SEVERAL TOOLS TO CLEAN PRIMER POCKETS ON RIFLE / PISTOL CARTRIDGES. THIS ONE IS WITHOUT A DOUBT THE BEST I HAVE EVER USED!!!! CHUCKED INTO A VARIABLE SPEED DRILL AND TURNED AT A MODERATE RPM, IT IS FAST, EASY, & REALLY WORKS WELL. PLEASE GET ONE FOR YOUR PRIMER POCKET CLEANING TOOL---YOU WON'T BE SORRY YOU DID.
AWESOME TOOL !!!!!!!!
IN MY OPINION BASED ON ALMOST 40 YEARS OF RELOADING, THIS IS MY MOST FAVORED TOOL FOR CLEANING PRIMER POCKETS OF IGNITION ASH. CAN BE TURNED WITH THE FINGERS, BUT SPINNING IN AN ELECTRIC DRILL IS REALLY THE BOMB!!!! A TOOL WHICH WILL SHORTEN CASE PREP TIME IMMENSELY.
Good Pocket Cleaner
Great tool. Works as advertised. Cleans carbon out of primer pocket quickly and easily. I try to buy quality brass such as Lapua. I do not feel that brass such as this benefits from "uniforming" the pockets, i.e. no difference in accuracy. Uniforming the pockets does however, cause the pockets to become loose much quicker. Just my opinion/experience. Yours may vary.
Good
Its not perfect. I have primer picket tools that scrap away the carbon better. I appreciate getting a good multi use item at a good price
Would you recommend this?
Yes, I would recommend to a friend
Works fairly well
Will clean the pockets well. I just have to work it a little more than I thought I would to accomplish the mission.
Worth the Price
A price you can't argue with. I got this and it does the job well. Having acknowledged that, I bought a primer pocket uniformer (which is used to cut the pockets to the same size) and just use that to clean as well. If I were to make a recommendation, I'd say to invest the money in one of those.
