NOTICE FROM HORNADY: Temporary suspension of nickel plated cartridge cases for Critical Defense® Handgun Ammunition

Unfortunately, everyone is faced with production bottlenecks and supply chains are stressed. In particular, the freight system is delayed longer than normal. Hornady's current turnaround time on nickel plating cartridge cases is 4+ weeks. This delay has created a significant bottleneck in the production of ammunition.

Due to these issues, Hornady will suspend nickel plating on all Critical Defense handgun ammunition to help reduce production time.

Please note, this is a temporary suspension.

Great place!

The ammo is what it is, good stuff. I was delighted to find it and from a vendor that doesn't believe in gouging the customer when an item is in short supply. Brownells is fantastic, quick response, fast shipping, good communication, everything you would expect from a top-notch operation. Will buy again, as soon as they have something in stock. Hornady .380 Ammo

First 25 rounds worked in a Glock 42

I prefer the HST round but that does not cycle 100% in my Glock 42 whereas this round does.....so far. Ill be buying more but from what I researched it should work fine.

great ammo

.380 is a very popular carry caliber and this ammo works great. Feeds well, not a single misfire in my LCP. Bigger would be better but if you use a 380 for self defense I have not seen better ammo. Hornady says this is a 25 round box.

About the best in this caliber . . .

Based on home ballistics tests, what Hornady says about this line of ammunition, and specifically this caliber is quite true. It does what they claim it will. Just keep in mind this IS NOT the best caliber for self defense, but if you use it anyway, this is an excellent choice of ammunition.
