Glock 43 x slide assembly
Nicely machined. Perfect fit.
It was seamless to install.
Slick and Easy
I got this to put on a SCT frame. The first slide I received didn't function correctly, but with Brownell's guarantee, the switch was easy. The second one runs superbly. Both on a SCT frame and a stock Glock frame. No issues and it didn't require a parts kit or any parts installs. Fast and easy.. Lube it and throw it on a frame. Eventually the sights will be traded out for something of higher visibility, but I change out all my sights for personal preference and old eyes. Price is right. Has all the parts and barrel. Accuracy is more than acceptable for a small barrel length. You won't out shoot it or the ammo.

Complete Window Slide Assy w/ Ported Barrel for Glock 43
INSTALLED THIS BEAUTIFUL (MIGHT I SAY SEXY) SLIDE ON MY 43, CHANGED THE SLIDE PLATE COVER TO THE ONE THAT SAYS 43 ON IT AND DROPPED ON A HOLOSUN 407K AND LUBED IT. I THEN WENT TO MY LOCAL RANGE AND TOTALLY OBLITERATED THE 10 RING AT 7 AND 10 YARDS. IT HIT A LITTLE LOW AND TO THE RIGHT INITIALLY BUT A FEW QUICK ADJUSTMENTS TO THE 407K AND IT SPIT OUT BULLETS FLAWLESSLY. I HAD NO FLAMES SHOOTING OUT OF THE BARREL LIKE SOME FOLKS TOLD ME WOULD HAPPEN. I HAVE HAD THE SAME GREAT EXPERIENCE WITH THE SLIDES FOR MY 17 AND 19. I SCOURED THE INTERNET TO FIND SOMETHING COMPARABLE AND EVERYBODY ELSE WAS ASKING TWICE AS MUCH OR MORE. I AM A VERY HAPPY BROWNELL'S CUSTOMER, JUST A LITTLE POORER!

I will call it an upgrade
So this arrived wrapped in plastic and inside a plastic sleeve. This made storing and the original slide easy and I also put the new slide cover and screws inside the sleeve so "back to original" will be easy to find.
Just spinning it in the hands you call tell overall it is slightly thicker (enough to later feel some binding in a kydex holster) and even with some metal removed, slightly heavier. Clean machining, clean and complete coating, and aside from an ever so slightly rougher texture, cosmetically a match for the original color.
The barrel, clearly not OEM Glock, does not extend from the end of the slide as far as the original. At rest the original has the barrel about 1/8 beyond the slide end (where a bushing would be on a 1911) while this one is flush. The recoil spring and guide to do not appear to be OEM Glock. Sights appear to be Glock OEM as does the extractor. I suspect the striker and other internals would be too hard to tell unless they had OEM stampings so I did not dig further. I could scavenge them from the original slide if needed.
The top holes are M4 if you have a screw kit. I added an optic and you will likely need to as well. The front white dot sight is completely black/gray after about a magazine. The port gasses coat it and so a plastic one will not do well. Don't waste money on a fiber optic or glowing front sight either. It will be ruined by the ports. Not that they would not be of any value in a "just need a few good shots" scenario, it's just that you will have to scrub the wholesale crap out of them afterwards and fiber and painted ring fronts will not last doing so.
Primary Question was answered - Yes, it does take the hand bite away from this little gun. It makes it actually pleasant to shoot with no finger bites under the trigger shoe on my hand. I spent a good bit of time shooting one handed and it does what the claims claim.
I used a coffee can of mixed hollow points to zero it, probably the first 75 rounds, and found that it liked the shorter more tapered ogive and the more powder the better. The longer OAL of the round, the more likely it was to bind during feeding and require a slight slide retreat and muzzle down shake to get it to go into battery.
Training with two cheap 115g FMJ boxes it would FTF about 1 in 30 times, I suspect that was a power issue. Now that I got past the 150 round mark it got less picky about hotter and longer rounds. I have upwards of 300 rounds through it now- which is my minimum break in for anything I intend to carry.
The 124+P Gold Dot and 124+P HST both ran all three carry magazines without failure. So, if you put some "oomph" in it, keep it lubed (I used Tetra PTFE grease on my rails and STP/DEx mix on the barrel) mine was 100% reliable.
