Great value for a budget build
Who doesn’t love the cost effective way to try a ported barrel/slide. Functions flawlessly on the SCT frame. I was able to assemble a fully functional “Glock 17” for under $400
With the Ported Barrel
Just purchased this and installed it right away. Didn't work out of the box with my Timney trigger but I switched out the firing pin assembly and took it to the range. First 2 shots a light strike and a misfeed. After that, it ran through about 300 rounds like butter. I got a bit scared there but I am extremely happy with my purchase. RMR cut fit a cheaper CVLife red dot perfect but I should have gotten the taller co witness iron sights. 10/10 for the slide and barrel.

Extremely Impressive Flat Shooter
I paired this with a Lone Wolf Timberwolf 17 frame as it does NOT fit PSA Dagger frames, so just keep that in mind. I slapped the two pieces together, lubricated the gun and immediately took it to the range where it performed flawlessly. Yes the sights are cheap, they're assuming you're going to immediately put a dot on it anyway. Another note about that, this uses flush holes to mount RMR dots/plates to the slide, not the Zev posts so I hope that helps someone.
The ported barrel makes this shoot super flat, and it looks pretty clean. All in all this is a solid product from Brownells!

Amazingly Accurate
I ordered the BROWNELLS G17 SLIDE W/THREADED BARREL, and I am very impressed. The accuracy is incredible. I shoot better with this build (BRWONELLS 17 UPPER/ SCT 17 LOWER) than with my G34 gen3. I would 100% recommend this product. It’s safe to say I am satisfied with this product. I wish BROWNELLS would make a G34 slide, I’d buy 2. I see myself ordering the BROWNELLS G17 COMPLETE PORTED SLIDE next. Can’t wait. Great work boys.

500 rds down range 0 malfunctions
Put this on my factory 34 frame with a 508T mounted on it. Sent 500 rds down range in 2 trips with no cleaning and no malfunctions. As accurate as expected, finish is great & red dot mounting is perfect.

Almost perfect
This is a great slide. The first 200 rounds ran well with only a few issues. The only thing the slide comes in short is the optics mounting system. The holes are drilled extremely shallow. Its only a matter of time the screws will fail.

G17 complete slide
Slide functions well but the screws holding the optics cut cover plate were so loose they fell out and were lost in the first range session. Apparently no replacements available from Brownells

Barrel throat
The slide is fine. As another reviewer mentioned, the optic pocket is a little looser than I would like. The barrel throat at the top of the ramp is very sharp. It will not feed reliably. I can polish this sharp edge myself. The factory Glock barrel fit and functioned OK. If it wasn't for the barrel throat needing to be polished to remove the sharp corner on the chamber, I would give this five stars.

GTG
Ive shot this upper in four 2Gun Matches . Have little over 2k rounds . Ive had absolutely 0 issues .
This Upper does not work with Factory G17 G3 recoil Spring. I installed NDZ Non Captured Stainless steel Guide Rod with 13# Flat wire spring . This upper has been 100% GTG . My 507 Comp did not fit on super tight but added compound to make it fit super tight and that compound acts as a wedge . Right at 2K rounds and nothing has came lose and optic is super solid. For 220 bucks i dont expect it to super top quality but this upper is GTG if you know how to work on guns .

Not too shabby
I bought two of these for a pair of steel frame G's that I built. The fit and finish are pretty good. The ports work well in keeping the muzzle flatter during recoil. The exterior design is a bit different so it does catch the eyes of others.
My only complaints were the optic pocket and sites. The optic pocket is said to be cut for a RMR. It is much looser than I would have preferred. It should be tight enough that there isn't much wiggle room. The sites are more like the plastic OEM sites from G. If you are going to put an optic cut on the slide, go ahead and put on raised sites.
