COMBAT BOLT HANDLE

COMBAT BOLT HANDLE Reviews & Ratings

Increased size allows you to reach over the receiver and operate the bolt with your 'off' hand without taking your finger out of shooting position. Provides plenty of extra leverage to help clear a jammed chamber in only seconds. Reverse contour and open center design gives better grip with gloved hands. Easy to install, requires no alteration to gun. SPECS: 4140 Steel, blued finish. Handle is 1.25' (3.1cm) high,
7/8' (22mm) wide. Fits Remington 1100, 11-87 only.

Works Great
Used this for my 1100 tactical shotgun during a NRA LE Handgun/Shotgun Instructor Course. It worked great, never had any problems. Very easy to operate during incapacitation drills and off hand shooting.

Great product I tested for ten months.
I tested and researched this item for 10 months in over 20 different 1100 12ga. guns. It failed 2 times due to my not pushing it in properly. Items made in the past 5 years work great. Rumors are from a bad run on maybe 100 units which did cause a slight problem with unit falling out. This was caught and corrected by manufacturer. If one happens to end up with one of these random items no problem you can send it back for a replacement I'm sure. Anyway these are class acts and highly recommended. They are made by Choate a company I find to be excellent. They take care of their customers. Thanks, Al.

Not bad
I added this bolt handle to a Remington 11-48. Out of the package, it fit bad, had horrible retainment and would fall out. Comparing it to the factory bolt handle the dimple on the factory handle was wider and deeper. A few careful minutes with a dremel and the new handle fit like a dream. I cant imagine going back to the factory original bolt handle.
Would you recommend this? Yes, I would recommend to a friend

LOVE IT!
This is an OUTSTANDING alternative to that tiny factory stub. Great for fast an easy manipulation of the bolt. I do understand the issues others have had regarding the flimsy manner in which the bolt handle is retained on the bolt assembly. However, that seems to be more of an issue with the Remington design. Avoid over-lubrication and if concerned maybe rosin it up a little with something like a drop of finger nail polish (just a tiny bit in the notch on the handle after degreasing).

Great addition to my 11-87
This is a great bolt handle. Make sure you push it in all the way and you wont have a problem. Easy to install

Good handle, questionable firearm design
This handle is about as easy as it gets to install. You just pull out the existing handle and push this in. No tools required. However that can lead to problems down the road. There is nothing wrong with this handle. Something can be argued for the design of the Remington 1100/1187 but that does not reflect the design and quality of this handle. It can be accidentally pulled out if you're not careful (my rationale for buying 2). I find that I'm only using 2 fingers or the palm of my hand to operate this handle. Other tactical designs there is a tendency to wrap your hand around it, thus creating more opportunity to pull it out. This handle makes operating the 1100/1187 much easier than the factory handle. Easy to operate with gloves and well made.

Did not fit 11-87.
Did not fit an 11-87. Part is noticeably thicker than the factory part. There's no way to get this in without removing a significant amount of material.
