Alway great products at best prices
I own a earlier version for over 40 year
I have been reloading for over 40 years and this primer tool is the best . i just bought another one with the new type of jaws so i dont have to adjust it for smaller cases . I can feel the primer seated on each case and never had a problem loading the tool up with new primers , I highly recommend this product if you are a advent reloader as i am you will be happy.
What a Great Tool!
Best bench primer I've ever used. The price is fair and it works GREAT! It's fast and perfectly seats the primers. Even though there is a lot of leverage you can still feel the primer bottom out in the pocket.
Nice Bench Mounted Priming Tool
I mostly use this for .308 Winchester where a hand priming tool just didn't give me enough leverage sometimes and my hand(s) would start hurting. Still gives you good feel for the primer which is important for some semi-auto rifles where the primer MUST be seated below the case head. The built in primer tray is a bad joke but I've worked out a method for flipping the primers over and pushing them into the loading tube using a small putty knife. I like the fact that the primers stack side-by-side instead of one on top of another. Seems safer anyway. Also, there's an open slot on one side of the tube allowing you to visually verify that the primers are all loaded correctly (IOW none upside down/backwards). It takes a little while to figure out how to adjust the jaws which hold the case but they work well when set up right.
Nice priming tool.
The priming tool worked very well. The priming tubes loaded more quickly than I thought they would. Once the case holder is adjusted to the case size the production runs very rapidly. The only issue I had was a problem with the gravity feed from the primer tube. It can, on occasion, deposit the primer side ways during the feeding process. Very small issue to me. I'm very pleased with the primer feed so far. I would recommend purchase for those in need of one.
Only good for specialized use
I bought one of the Co-Ax Primer Seaters from Brownells in September of 24. I had a lot of problems setting it up but didn't write a review then as I thought it might be me and not the machine. After using it for over a year I can say this is definately not what you want if you reload a lot of different cartridges. It is very finicky to set up and has usuall taken me 50 to 100 rounds before I could get it to operate well. Even then, I usually have it spit out at least one primer on the floor out of every 100. I suppose if you were going to set it up for just one cartridge base and were able to lock it down well it might be usable, but that is not practical for most reloaders. I may load servera hundred of one round then switch to another and this thing is almost useless in that scenario. Buy something with a fixed head and that minimizes errors. It also is not nearly as safe as most other systems because the prime stack is directly above the primer being put into the casse. I haven't had any problems with detonations, but I do get lots of primers with punch marks on them where the mandrel that pushes them into the pocket is not perfectly alligned. That even occurs frequently after the system is correctly adjusted and functioning well.

I usually love my forster products, however this is an exception. I bought this a couple months ago and have been trying to get the hang of the seating jaws. THEY DON'T WORK EASILY! If you plan on using this for one caliber I am sure it would be fine, set the jaws once and leave it. If you plan on using this for all your reloading needs you probably want to look elsewhere. I am beyong frustrated trying to get the jaws to hold the case tightly. There is obviously only milimeters to play with and if it's not right the case comes out and primers get lost. Too tight and the case wont come out. Can't seem to find the sweet spot easily, its easily a 20 minute ordeal every-time I switch cartridges. Forster make the jaws easier!!
Easy to use but broke after 150 shells
The press is made from casted metal and mine broke after only priming 150-200 cases. contacted Forster to see if they will replace it.
Disappointed!
I reload lots of 223 brass so I thought this would be a good option for priming 223 and the other rifle cartridges I shoot. The primer tube for small rifle primers is really badly designed. I called Forster and they sent me another tube for small rifle primers. Same problem. The primers sometimes fall out or turn sideways or even fall behind where the seater piece is. I know Forster makes good products, but this one falls short by a lot! Sadly it does a good job for seating large rifle primers, but the design doesn't work for SR primers. Still looking for a better option.
