What is the FORSTER - CO-AX PRIMER SEATER?
Bench mounted priming tools have been popular with reloaders for years because they are faster and do a better job of primer seating than many of the press mounted primer seaters. The CO-AX Primer Seater from Forster has automatic shellholder jaws which close securely on most modern rifle and pistol cases(no additional shellholders needed). Primers stack sideways in the primer feed tubes for added safety, and the tubes are open in front so it is easy to view the remaining primer supply. The tool base is a quality machined casting and includes a built-in primer flip tray. Large and small rifle and pistol primer tubes are included.

Adjustability and Usability

The difficulty in adjusting the seating jaws is a common point of contention, with many users reporting that changing calibers results in a cumbersome process. Some reviewers note that while it may work best for single calibers, managing multiple ones can be time-consuming and challenging.
Build Quality
40%
Reviewers have mixed feelings regarding the build quality of the tool. While some found it sturdy and effective after initial adjustments, others experienced breakage after limited use, raising concerns about durability, particularly under heavy usage.
Speed and Efficiency
50%
A number of users praise the tool for its speed and efficiency once correctly set up, appreciating the quick priming process and good tactile feedback when seating primers. This aspect is especially noted for those who rely on high-volume reloading.

I own a earlier version for over 40 year
I have been reloading for over 40 years and this primer tool is the best . i just bought another one with the new type of jaws so i dont have to adjust it for smaller cases . I can feel the primer seated on each case and never had a problem loading the tool up with new primers , I highly recommend this product if you are a advent reloader as i am you will be happy.

What a Great Tool!
Best bench primer I've ever used. The price is fair and it works GREAT! It's fast and perfectly seats the primers. Even though there is a lot of leverage you can still feel the primer bottom out in the pocket.

Nice Bench Mounted Priming Tool
I mostly use this for .308 Winchester where a hand priming tool just didn't give me enough leverage sometimes and my hand(s) would start hurting. Still gives you good feel for the primer which is important for some semi-auto rifles where the primer MUST be seated below the case head. The built in primer tray is a bad joke but I've worked out a method for flipping the primers over and pushing them into the loading tube using a small putty knife. I like the fact that the primers stack side-by-side instead of one on top of another. Seems safer anyway. Also, there's an open slot on one side of the tube allowing you to visually verify that the primers are all loaded correctly (IOW none upside down/backwards). It takes a little while to figure out how to adjust the jaws which hold the case but they work well when set up right.
