Perfect fit
Dont know about other manufactured model fits but this magazine is a perfect replacement fit for the Charter Arms AR7.
Good Mag
Good price for a good mag. Important to have plenty of these on hand considering that the feed ramp is part of the magazine and not the receiver.
Charter Arms AR7
This magazine worked fine in my Charter Arms AR7 Worked the best with CCI, but others will function with a few stoppages here and there. So it will work in the AR7 for it's intended function.
Just like the OEM
I purchased one of these for my new Henry Survival Rifle. It looks and works exactly like the two magazines that came with the rifle from the factory.
AR-7 Magazine
The magazine fit perfectly into the mag well but would not lock into place. Upon closer examination, I found that there was a little piece of metal at the top of the mag lock/release hole that needed to be filed down to lock the magazine in place. Little by little, I filed down the metal at the top of the magazine lock hole until the magazine lock/release worked. It only took a few minutes of filing and checking the fit and function per magazine. Easy enough to fix. I will be going to the range soon to check the functionality of the magazines.
Good but..
It's about what you would expect from such a simple design. It works with my Henry survival rifle. I did have one fixable issue. The notch that locks the mag into the receiver was actually just a tiny bit low and wouldn't lock in. A bit of Dremel work and it's perfect. Idk if that's a difference in model or manufacturing issue but I got it working. Other then that, I noticed that it lacked a spring on the side that my stock mags have. NBD.
maybe you should buy from Henry
The Henry U.S. Survival rifle is similar but not exactly the same as the Charter Arms. These mags may fit a Henry rifle with some work with a file and a Dremel tool If you can't do that or don't want to, buy direct from henry for the new AR-& style guns. And Henry sells them 2/$40, so same same. Good luck out there with your odd, little AR-7. There's nothing else like it.
didn't ramp up enough
I have a charter arms mfr gun that runs flawless with mag that came with it. This mag looks different with the wire/spring down the side. This mag lips & ramp sits slightly lower than my mag and will not chamber a round. Dimension from mag catch up to lips is about 3/32" less than my mag. Bullet nose hangs at lower edge of chamber and jambs. This mag is not new but used with scratches, wear and a ding in base plate.
Fitment is junk. Claims for Charter AR-7
Does not fit at all. Waste of money.
Not for HenryAR7 survival
Would not lock in. Not appropriate for Henry AR7. Just falls out even when empty!
