CARNAUBA GUN WAX Reviews & Ratings

Protects and beautifies with one application. Contains a high content of natural carnauba but no synthetics, silicones or soft beeswax that can dull or cloud gun finishes. Paste has softened consistency; is easy to apply; rub on and buff with soft cloth. Liquid goes on easily; covers hard-to-get-to areas. Provides long lasting protection. SPECS: Paste - 2 oz. (56g) wt. in resealable tin.
Liquid - 2 oz. (56g) wt. in plastic bottle.

I like to have options when applying to guns.

Not Expensive
Give me a break! Saying this product is expensive is like saying a company's stock is expensive only because the per-share price is $200. "Oh, that's too expensive!" Well, no, because two years later the company was worth $400 per share. The R. Gale Lock product is a good value at this price. Your grandchildren will probably find some left in your gunning box 30 years from now.

Great Product
This is a very good stock wax. Easily applied and produces a great finish. I use it over oil for enhancing and protecting field gun stocks and over other other gun stock finishes for a great finished look. A bit pricey but a great product.

Great for Waterproofing Oil Finish
Outstanding for waterproofing oil finishes for field use. Finish is hard and resists fingerprints. Easy to apply and buff with each wipedown rebuffing. Will gloss an oil finish somewhere between oil and urethane so be forwarned if you want subdued gloss. Stuff is pricey but takes very little and looks like can will last years.

Great Stuff, just expensive!
Great stuff, but don't be shocked when you find out the can is smaller than a snuff can. Outragiously over-priced for the amount you get. Same stuff available through woodworking retailers, only you get about 4-5 times the wax for the same money.

dries out in can
works well when you get it but quickly dies out in can and becomes unusable after a few weeks possibly why they give you micro-can for [$] better buys out there. when you get it the can is sealed once open forget it
