BUSHING FULL LENGTH DIES Reviews & Ratings

The Wilson Bushing Type Full Length Sizing Die. This die will allow you to size the case neck to your desired neck tension along with sizing down the rest of the case body at the same time. Die includes an adjustable depth decapping rod. An extra Decapping Punch is included. These dies do not contain an expander. Made of High Quality Heat Treated Steel. These Full Length Bushing dies mimic the neck sizing of Wilsons’ neck sizing dies and are designed to leave 3/16” at the bottom of the case neck unsized, a practice many shooters prefer and find to be more accurate than sizing the full neck.

L.E. Wilson manufactured lock nut - thickness is .225" from inside to outermost edge .270" for height and 1.250" total width OD. Neck Bushing sold separately, we suggest using LE Wilson Neck bushings but Redding bushings will also fit.

Beautifully made...but....

This is a beautiful die, very well made however, for applications using the Dillon 550B press, there is not enough die thread to allow the die to be turned down to touch the shell plate and have enough threads left to install the lock nut. There needs to be about 1/4" more thread. I contacted Wilson and they understand the problem...future runs can easily resolve the problem but as machined, they will not work on the Dillon 550 series presses... Manufacturing oversite. Otherwise, nicely made...but no expander ball assy available as yet, just the decapping rod.

Good die...no expander available..

Good quality die...but a problem if you plan to use this die for Semi Auto case preparation. L.E. Wilson failed to consider this application though they make their bushing die in cartridges often used in semi auto's. There is no expander spindle assembly available as yet which means, if you have cases with dented case mouths, you may not be able to iron out those dented mouths which then is a problem for bullet seating after sizing. Talked with L.E. Wilson and they indicated they may have spindles available in a month or so....but nothing yet.
