Drop in fit for a Tisas Hi-power
Better than expected look and feel, dropped right in without any modification on a Tisas Canuck Hi-Power.
Excellent Trigger!
This trigger is an excellent upgrade to your Hi-Power. If you have no experience in gunsmithing, let a pro do this job. It is easy to scar the finish around the trigger pin if you have no experience working on BHP's. It is possible that the trigger will need to be fitted to your frame also. Be aware you might need to install the two coil trigger spring if you are installing this trigger into a MKIII. Installation of this trigger also requires the magazine disco safety to be removed - which is a good thing in my opinion. The trigger spring pin from your existing trigger needs to be reused on the C&S trigger, be sure to stake it before installing the trigger. The wide trigger sure helped my finger placement, and the perceived trigger pull weight is less.
wide trigger.
If you are a High Power guy.... this is the only trigger you will want! Well worth the price! Fred
Great trigger
This trigger is well made with a good smooth finish on the trigger, good weight, durable and drops right in. Very little stone work needed. Not to mention a tight trigger pull with great results on the range.
Replacement Trigger
I had issues with Brownings Magazine Safety plunger. The trigger pull was smooth with a matt finish magazine and gritty and rough with a polished and Blue mag. I decided to eliminate the mag safety. This trigger is a little tricky to install because there is no cut in the trigger for the trigger lever pivot to drop into. But once installed - smooth crisp trigger pull at last! Good Product.
Hi-power trigger
Ordered wide trigger for my post 1991 Hi-Power. Found that the hole for the trigger pin on the wide trigger measured .112 in diameter. The trigger pin on my Hi Power measured .115 in diameter. Definitely did not fit.
TERRIBLE
After installing a C&S "no bite" hammer with excellent results, I decided to try the wide trigger-along with a new Wolff spring. Do NOT buy this trigger. The geometry is all out of spec, nothing fits properly, and it most certainly is not "drop in". After some careful work with a Dremel, I did get the trigger to fit. But, it was unreliable, and the trigger bar doesn't fit properly. The trigger actually seized up several times. I removed it, placed it in my junk box, and replaced it with the OEM trigger and the Wolff spring..
out of spec, would not function un BHP
I had issues with recess for trigger lever also. When installed, the trigger lever interferred with slide and required shortening trigger lever to install slide. Bad idea. Trigger would trip hammer in dry fire test, but failed to trip hammer during live-fire. I had to order a new trigger lever and re-install old trigger. Shame of it is, years ago I had ordered and installed this trigger on my 1st BHP and it worked great and like the broader trigger face. But the 2nd one I received was junk
Flawed By Design
Flawed by Design ! This trigger is manufactured with a receiving recess that is to large for the trigger lever to work correctly. Consequently, when you install the trigger assembly, the tension from the trigger spring causes the trigger lever to cant sideways and tension itself against the frame. This causes the trigger not to recover correctly when tuned for a performance trigger pull. I first brought this situation to Bill's (Owner of C&S) attention 4 years ago. He admitted the flaw and committed to changing it on the next production run. Four years later they are doing it again ! When I brought this to their attention this time, I received a refund ! Please don't use this product until C&S fix the problem. Ironically, I continue to use other trigger parts by C&S with good results. I am a trade school educated, Professional Gunsmith working full time in the industry for the past 15+ years.
