Browning Challenger III Magazine works like a champ
My Browning Challenger III magazine arrived a couple weeks ago. I compared it to my two Browning mags and it looked like an exact copy except for the knob on the side of the mag attached to the spring which is slightly larger. Day before Thanksgiving I walked down the hill to my shooting spot. First couple times slipping the mag in empty it seemed to hang up about halfway in. Third time it slid right in. So I loaded up 10 very old (30+ years) rounds and fired all 10 with about 5 seconds between trigger pulls. No problems. Repeated that process again with no problems. A pretty limited test but I am more than happy to now have two spare’s plus a loaded mag for the gun. Which I have owned since it was new. Thank you Brownells!
Slipped right in
Fit and functioned perfect in the Challenger II. No need for any "tuning".
Works fine in my Challenger II
I purchased two of these magazines about a year apart for my Challenger II. They both work just as well as the 37 year old original -- and they are new! I have shot a variety of ammo through them without any problems. Some have modified the newer Buckmark mags by trimming the plastic base plate, but these just require loading the cartridges and shooting.
Also fits the CHALLENGER III

Excellent replacement magazines. Original magazine was bent and would only hold 9 rounds. Magazines arrived in individual packaging and were a bit dirty. Wiped down with gun cleaner, coated with a little gun oil and wiped clean. No issues with new mags have shot 150+ rounds from each.
Magazine works in Browning Nomad 22
I needed a replacement magazine for my Browning Nomad that I purchased 50 years ago or more. The Challenger model mag fits OK only issue is that it extends beyond the grip slightly. The magazine release works with this as well. Since the magazine extends beyond the pistol grip it easier to remove if necessary.
Unfortunately, didn't work for me
The magazine came well packaged, however interestingly it had a fine coating of superficial rust on the rear side that was not evident from external view. Thankfully It cleaned up easily and i wiped it down nicely. The magazine fit the Challenger II just fine however almost every round malfunctioned. I tried 3 different kinds of ammunition, each of which i know run well in the pistol and did so subsequently with the original magazine. Kudos to Brownells for their wonderful return policy (i've rarely if ever returned a product before but this one was worthy of return).
Misleading Description!!
I bought this for a customer, thinking it was like the original magazine desinged just for the Challenger pistols. It's actually the same magazine that Browning currently makes that fits into the Buck Mark pistol. So it sticks out past the grip on the Challenger pistols, it doesn't sit flush. The description doesn't tell you it's a Buck Mark clip that will work in a Challenger. It's on the package that it also works in the Buck Mark. Had I known it also worked in the Buck Mark I would have known it's not what they are claiming in there description. Plus you can buy the Browning clip for less, in fact I could have bought this clip for $19.46 from one of my wholesalers.

This mag did not fit my Challenger II because it was too thick on the forward rim (the long side), and I had to send it back. How is one to know????
