Looks Great if you Take Your Time!
I originally used this product a couple of decades ago. It is the same process as you used then. I had a friend that had a presentation gun that the "Gold " had faded on. I told him this would bring back its luster. I use gloves and only cover a small area. A lot of people try to cover a large area and I always find this turns into a mess. Due one small area at a time. When it is perfect, go to the next area. Otherwise, there is a good chance of cross contamination. For example, I did the badge on this commemorative first. When that was perfect I did the .357 Magnum on the barrel, etc. Have fun and take your time!

Great product
This kit is really great and easy to use. As some other reviewers had said, use masking tape to cover around the area you plan to inlay to keep other parts from getting painted. The finished job is really professional, take your time making several passes on deeper or complex engravings. It is not neccesary to mix large amounts of it as this tends to dry out pretty fast, so it is better to mix small quantities at the time. Definetly will recommend this to anyone who likes to work on his guns and want to give them an elegant touch.

Works very well
Easy to use and gives the look of real gold. The deeper the engraving the better the look. A little goes a long way and definitely mask off areas you dont want gold.

Professional results, easy to use
As it has been said before, use masking tape to cover all but the area you're going to inlay. Please note,, the deeper the engraving, the bolder the inlay will be, the same is true if the engraving is not deep. I used Q-tips instead of the patches for rubbing in the gold powder. They reach hard to get areas better. Follow the instructions.

Looks good
Take your time and build up layers on deep lettering. Other than that just follow the directions. As one reviewer said a little tape to make off the area will help. This has lasted a very long time on my rifles but not so long on my handguns. I carry my handguns and soot a lot so the constant handling and cleaning causes ware. It's easy to touch up.

excellent just like factory
follow instructions use masking tape

great look and easy to use
I've put this on a couple rifles that I've worked on for other people with out the owners previous knowledge. Never had a complaint when rifle gets in their hands. Love to watch their jaw drop when they see it. Makes the weapon look like its a million bucks.

Very Attractive and Easy to Use
Used this to spiff up my AR-15. It was extremely easy to use. A little goes a VERY long way. I will easily be able to inlay 10+ firearms with this small package. Very nice gold tint provides an attractive contrast to a flat black receiver. Thought the fine gold particles would seep into my anodized finish, but happily it did not, only the lettering. Took one hour to perfectly inlay both sides of my receiver without disassembly.

Gold Inlay Kit
This is an easy and inexpensive way to add some fancy gold coloring to manufacturers info already on the rifle or pistol. It will NOT add value but makes the firearm look good.
