My experience was about the same as the first time I bought something from Brownells. I think that was in the mid seventies. We used telephones then. This time I used a computer. Calling and talking to a real person is preferable. I make most everything I need but this time I got lazy and ordered a bluing tank. Left my old tankl on the coast in the old shop. I'm sure someone is still scratching their head wondering what it's for. Brownells is good.

Have not used it yet but it looks to be made of good quality steel and is really sturdy.

Very impressed with my black iron blueing tank. Quality construction and fast shipping. Tank was exacl what I was looking for and needed.

Done small parts hot bluing but didn't have time or reason for barrel bluing so never bought or made a long tank. This popped up on sale for somewhere around $15-ish and I said why not. Construction is pretty good. Welds look good. Steel is a little thin so hopefully it won't warp. I may weld some supports on it to stiffen it up some but it feels pretty solid.

Outstand at a ridiculously low price. I actually think it was a mistake and my only regret is not getting more. I would defiantly buy this product again and recommend it to someone else.

Although there are some shotguns and rifles in the world that will not fit in this tank, most will fit in this tank with no issue. You see these tanks used by smiths all over so they can't be a bad tank. I just got mine so I have no idea how long it will last, but if so many who are bluing on a daily basis use these tanks (or exact copies) I am sure you as well as myself will have years of use. A lid would have been nice,though I made one for mine.

Good looking, functions great, well worth the money, I don't think you could make it any cheaper considering your time and tools to make.
