Berger Boat Tail Target Rifle Bullets are often used by competitive shooters who seek the highest accuracy possible. Boat Tail Target Rifle Bullets are often used beyond mid-range distances out to 1,000 yards or more. Berger Boat Tail Target Rifle Bullets are match-grade quality and utilize a tangent ogive Rifle Bullet design which makes these very easy to load, tune and shoot. Highly accurate, the Boat Tail Target uses J4 Precision Rifle Bullet jackets for construction. J4 Precision Jackets have a Total Indicated Runout (TIR) of +/- .0001 and extremely tight manufacturing tolerances. Berger Boat Tail Target Rifle Bullets are excellent for magazine feed applications, or where conformance to SAAMI overall length is necessary.

The Best of the Best!

Consistent groups of 0.60 inches or less at 100 yards and have shot out to 700 yards with groups as tight as 2.75 inches! I am not a competitive shooter, just a hunter that wants to confidently take game at longer distances. And this bullet I can tell you is extremely accurate on my worst day of shooting!

They are the best in my 224 Valkyrie

I built a custom 224 Valkyrie on a Remington 700 action. It shot decent with Sierra and Hornady heavy bullets. Nothing to get excited about until I tried the 80.5 Full Bore with CFE223 powder and CCI BR primers. Consistant sub 3/8" five shot groups at 100 yards. Only down side is the price, but I guess you get what you you pay for.

I love these things!!

6.5mm Berger VLDs work fantastic in my .260 Rem and 6.5BRX. I tip them for a bit of extra BC and they are effective out to 1,000 yards. The 6.5 BRX loses a bit after 800, but they stay super sonic all the way. I have not found them to be particularly finicky. I typically seat them about 20 off the lands and a little experimentation is all it takes.

Fantastic Bullets

I have a CUSTOM .338 Lapua rifle which loves this bullet. My grouping at 100 yards was .25 inch at 300 yards it was 1/2 inches. 90 grains of retumbo and this bullet does what no other bullet I have tried comes clost to this, the longer the distance the better the bullet performs!!!!!

South Africa Approved

Very accurate out of my 300 Win Mag. I just got back from South Africa and just "LOVE" these bullets... One shot kills on a Kudu @ 300 yards, Gemsbuck @ 200+ yards, Blue Wildebeast @ 75 yards & Warthog @ 60 yards. It took two shots to Kill a 1,100 pound Eland do to my poor shot placement.

Awesome performance

Used this bullet in a 300 Ultra Mag to take a pronghorn at 650 yards with devastating results. Penetrated through the chest and exited the opposite shoulder with a 3 inch exit wound. Can't wait to try on other game but very impressed so far.

Excellent Hunting Bullet!

I have used this bullet from 200 yards to 1092 yards and the performance is excellent on deer. using a 26" Select Match Grade barrel with 80g of H1000 for a cronographed 3100 fps. Berger makes an excellent product with these bullets and the performance is exactly how Berger advertises. Thanks to the help from Sinclair for the Bullet and powder recommendation.

top notch bullet

I use this bullet in my pac-nor barreled Rem 700 with execelent results. My best 5 shot groups measure 1.5" at 500 yards all day long. It is an excellent choice for the 300 Win Mag. I have tried many other long range bullets with good results but nothing compares to the 190 gr berger bullet.

Palma with Berger 80.5

After shooting two Palma matches and a three 600 match`s with these bullets I can say the 80.5 bullet works! When your doing things right they will hold 1/4 of the X ring. They also take jump very well. I jump the bullet .030. They seem to be a forgiving bullet, they shot well in three .223 barrels I've tried so far, first try. They also make the International weight requirement for a legal .223 Palma bullet. GG
