Unmarked Colt receiver
If you're looking for any Colt markings such as a C, cage code or dot matrix then look elsewhere.
Not as Pictured
While this Upper Receiver is a good USGI M4 Clone, it does not have any evidence of it being a Colt manufacture only the Cerro forge Keyhole, no "C" stamp (as pictured).
Not impressed
I believe it's a colt but the t marks were a little sloppy and the keyhole forge isn't that crisp. Gray dry lube inside reciever is great M4 above gas tube inlet good. Not to crazy about Colts quality on these batch of recievers. Overall not to bad of a reciver but just might return and get some other military grade reciver.
8/17/23 Purchase
Keyhole forging, no cage code, no mention of Colt anywhere on the bag or receiver, marked 'M4' near the gas tube inlet. I bought seven of them, all came this way.
Good upper
Upper receiver seems good but with some minor issues. T marks are painted white as expected but are not uniform. As far as markings go no cage code but does have keyhole forge and M4 up front. Overall happy with it. If you are looking for certain markings good luck because this isn’t it.
Great upper, some wear?
It's an M4 upper for those who are wondering but something that caught my eye was that there was a bit of rail on top chewed up. That got me thinking these might be seconds from an armory course... but I don't know for sure of course. If you can look over these imperfections this is a great upper. Also I'm sure the upper would have wear on it sooner or later.
Great but some marks
Arrived and install was smooth. Did have some marks where black finish showed silver through on the rail. Something had been installed there and taken off. These are stripped so understandable. A little BC Aluminum Black and looks as good as new. I would not hesitate to buy more and works flawlessly.
Not NIW but close..
Satisfied with the condition but it does show signs of being a teardown. Specifically, there were assembly marks on the Pic rails from carry handle mounting as well as a slight shiny spot from the charging handle latch. That's about all the nitpicking I could do. It is "c" marked as well as "M4" marked.
